"And I don't want him to teach me how to take a 4-0 defeat in a Champions League final (Cruyff's Barcelona lost 4-0 to Milan in 1994) because I don't want to learn that. Let him come to English football where he can learn that he is in the 21st century." - Jose Mourinho to Johan Cyruff

"When I've got nothing better to do, I look down the league table to see how Everton are getting along." - Bill Shankly
"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that." - Bill Shankly "This city has two great teams - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves." - Bill Shankly "If a player isn't interfering with play or seeking to gain an advantage, then he should be!" - Bill Shankly "I was only in the game for the love of football -- and I wanted to bring back happiness to the people of Liverpool." - Bill Shankly "If Everton were playing down the bottom of my garden, I'd draw the curtains." - Bill Shankly "We murdered them 0-0." - Bill Shankly "Fire in your belly comes from pride and passion in wearing the red shirt. We don't need to motivate players because each of them is responsible for the performance of the team as a whole. The status of Liverpool's players keeps them motivated." - Bill Shankly "Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present. It was her birthday. Would I have got married in the football season? Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves." - Bill Shankly Bill Shankly to Tommy Smith, who tried to explain that his bandaged knee was injured : "Take that bandage off. And what do you mean about YOUR knee? It's Liverpool's knee!" Bill Shankly about the "This is Anfield" plaque : "It's there to remind our lads who they're playing for, and to remind the opposition who they're playing against." Bill Shankly to Alan Ball, who'd just signed for Everton : "Don't worry, Alan. At least you'll be able to play close to a great team!" Bill Shankly to a barber when asked if he wanted anything off the top : "Aye, Everton." Bill Shankly after beating Everton in the '71 cup semi : "Sickness would not have kept me away from this one. If I'd been dead, I would have had them bring the casket to the ground, prop it up in the stands and cut a hole in the lid." |

"There's not a club in Europe with an anthem like You'll Never Walk Alone. I sat there watching and they sent shivers down my spine. A mass of 40,000 people became 1 force behind their team. For that I admire LFC more than anything." - Johan Cruyff

"These players are my true heroes." - Gerard Houllier
"When I see the Bill Shankly statue, I look at the sentiment on the base. It says: 'He made the people happy'. Well now the modern Liverpool is making the fans and the city happy. And that makes me so proud." - Gerard Houllier "Chairman Mao has never seen a greater show of red strength." - Bill Shankly "The English club proved that miracles really do exist. I've now made Liverpool my English team. They showed that football is the most beautiful sport of all. The Liverpool supporters didn't let me go to sleep the night before, there were 10 of them to every three Milan supporters. They showed their unconditional support at half-time when they were losing 3-0 and still they didn't stop singing." - World Cup legend Diego Maradona who was cheering for Liverpool in Istanbul. "We were sitting in the dressing room and we could clearly hear thousands of fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Can you imagine how that felt? We were 3-0 down in the Champions League final and all we could hear were 45,000 people letting us know they still believed in us. We knew they had endured a long journey and made so many sacrifices to be there. It was at that point we started to believe too." - Luis Garcia on what inspired the amazing comeback in Istanbul. "Liverpool's fans are just amazing. The best feeling I have at away games is Anfield. It is just incredible. I love it. You get goose bumps when you see their supporters sing You'll Never Walk Alone." - Arsenal and France star Thierry Henry. "I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I'd break my wife's legs if I played against her, but I'd never cheat her." - Bill Shankly |

Roy Evans on Ian Rush's 600th appearance for Liverpool Added on March 15, 2007, 1:02 pm"Son, you'll do well here as long as you remember two things. Don't over-eat and don't lose your accent." Bill Shankly to Alan Ball after he signed for Everton "The difference between Everton and the Queen Mary is that Everton carry more passengers!" Bill Shankly "Our job is to make the fans happy. When we win, 45,000 people go home happy. When we lose, it not only affects them, it affects their cats." Gerard Houllier "At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques". Bill Shankly on boardroom meetings "If he isn't named Footballer of the Year, football should be stopped and the men who picked any other player should be sent to the Kremlin" Bill Shankly on Tommy Smith "The only thing I fear is missing an open goal in front of the Kop. "We don't complain about referees here" - Gareth Southgate. Wait for it... * "We were robbed. That is the second time this season that referee has ruined a game for me. He totally spoilt the night. I am almost speechless that something like that can happen. With one decision, he took our dream away. Never in a million years would Manchester United concede a penalty like that at Old Trafford. If the same situation occurs at the other end in the replay, I would put my house on us not getting the decision" - George Boateng, who used both hands and still thinks it's okay. ..hehe.. |

It's now just up to the Premier League to authorise me to play, something I believe should happen because it was they who made the appeal to FIFA to allow me to move clubs. I hope the situation is resolved as soon as possible."-for his transfeer move from west ham to liverpool

To share some of Jose Mourinho qoutes
And I think because of the passion of every English player and every English supporter, and every English journalist for the game, most of the game is played with passion, love for football and instinct, but in football you also have to think. Jose Mourinho And when I go to the press conference after the game, the game has not finished yet. Jose Mourinho Arsenal have won that advantage, nobody gave it to them. By playing fantastic football and by winning matches and by winning trophies, they won that respect that the opponent has for them. Jose Mourinho At the very least we should be given a bit of credit and a little bit of space, and maybe the media should think we could help them discover why English teams do not win European competitions. Jose Mourinho But I think it's more normal for my team to have no success than it is to win two consecutive European cups. Jose Mourinho Especially when you play at home, you need a good atmosphere behind you. Jose Mourinho Facing the press is not easy, but because you have to go, you have to try to take a lot of positive things for yourself from these face-to-face meetings. Jose Mourinho For example, in my team I love to have Geremi on the bench because he's a low-profile player who is ready to help, ready to fight for the team, ready to do the job I want him to do. Jose Mourinho I always feel that with a president, an owner - it depends on the structure of the club and the country - the players generally like to see him. Jose Mourinho I don't say we are a defensive team. I say we are a strong team in defensive terms, but at the same time lacking sufficient fluidity in attack because that will take time to come. Jose Mourinho I enjoy the work, I enjoy every minute of my professional life. Jose Mourinho I feel I have a lot to learn from English football and I am completely open to good influences in my way of thinking football. But I also have things to give them. Jose Mourinho I followed an Italian manager and it cannot be easy when you follow a manager who thinks very differently. Jose Mourinho I think I am the special one. Jose Mourinho I think the best place to work in football is England. Jose Mourinho I was nine or 10 years old and my father was sacked on Christmas Day. He was a manager, the results had not been good, he lost a game on December 22 or 23. On Christmas Day, the telephone rang and he was sacked in the middle of our lunch. Jose Mourinho In England, when people go to football they just go to think about football. Nothing else. They enjoy every second of the game. Jose Mourinho In five years I have never had a match where my team has had less possession than the opponents. Jose Mourinho In general terms we must think more about our football and not play by instinct. Jose Mourinho In the same way that I had to follow an Italian manager here, I can imagine that it was not easy for an Italian manager to follow me at Porto. Jose Mourinho Look at the way teams play against Arsenal. They don't believe they can win. They don't believe. Jose Mourinho So I know all about the ups and downs of football, I know that one day I will be sacked. Jose Mourinho So if one day the result becomes 3-3, for me it doesn't change my mind, because it's football, it's normal. What is not normal is that we haven't been scoring enough goals playing such good football as we've been playing in the last few weeks. Jose Mourinho So when they have Mourinho and Benitez joining the Premiership they should say it's good for us, maybe these guys have something new to give. Jose Mourinho Sometimes in Portugal when you play away from home, the atmosphere is very hostile. Jose Mourinho The negative side of football. The negative side of our society. People sometimes go to football and bring to it the negative aspects of our society. Jose Mourinho The only thing I would like is to have more control of the game in terms of possession. Jose Mourinho The only thing that we cannot control is our supporters. Jose Mourinho The Porto players were with me for two and a half years, they believed in me, in my methods, in the way we do it. The next day I go and a manager arrives who works completely differently. Jose Mourinho The team is completely close. Anything you say outside, there is no chance it will go inside. So the team is really strong and compact. We know what we want and how to achieve it on the pitch. Jose Mourinho The way I use to develop an aerobic condition is three against three, man to man, in a square 20 metres by 20. Jose Mourinho When I face the media, maybe I don't feel it now, here with you, because it's a different sort of interview, but when I face the media before or after the game, I feel it as part of the game. Jose Mourinho When I go to the press conference before the game, in my mind the game has already started. Jose Mourinho When you go to the stadiums, the atmosphere is so beautiful that maybe you don't feel so much the importance of the game. Jose Mourinho When you just work tactically, in pure football sessions, you can see the way they can think football. Jose Mourinho When you play another team with the same qualities as you normally the best one wins. Jose Mourinho You can have the top stars to bring the attention, you can have the best stadium, you can have the best facilities, you can have the most beautiful project in terms of marketing and all this kind of thing. But if you don't win... All the work these people are doing is forgotten. Jose Mourinho You have to win and especially, as I have, you have to win a trophy for the first time. Jose Mourinho You see how Spanish, Italians, Portuguese play football. I don't say they are perfect, I say English football has a few things to learn from them in the same way they have a lot of things to learn from English football. Jose Mourinho |

"I don't play against a particular team. I play against the idea of losing." -Eric Cantona-
"I might have said that, but on the whole I talk a lot of rubbish." "Sometimes in life one experiences an emotion which is so strong that it is difficult to think, or to reason. Sometimes you get submerged by emotion. I think it's very important to express it - which doesn't necessarily mean hitting someone. I am very mistrustful of people who are constantly over-intellectualising things. It kills passion. You have to allow yourself to lose control from time to time." -Eric Cantona- "After his first training session in heaven, George Best, from his favourite right wing, turned the head of God who was filling in at left-back. I would love him to save me a place in his team - George Best that is, not God." Ince about Cantona before he entered court: 'We stayed at the Croydon Park hotel. So we got up in the morning and I've got me suit on - the nuts, know what I mean? I knock on Eric's door and he's standing in jacket, white shirt, long collars like that [he gestures to describe long, pointed collars], unbuttoned so you can see his chest. "Eric, you can't go to court like that", I told him and he says, "I am Cantona, I can go as I want"'. "Collar turned up, back straight, chest stuck out, he glided into the arena as if he owned the F*****g place. Any arena, but nowhere more effectively than Old Trafford. This was his stage. He loved it, the crowd loved him" (Roy Keane, Cantona's successor as Manchester United captain.) GORDON STRACHAN"S "If a Frenchman goes on about seagulls, trawlers and sardines, he's called a philosopher. I'd just be called a short Scottish bum talking crap." Gordon Strachan in response to Cantona's famous quote following the 1995 Crystal Palace-Simmons incident. It's an incredible rise to stardom. At 17 you're more likely to get a call from Michael Jackson than Sven Goran Eriksson. * On Wayne Rooney. Reporter: Gordon, can we have a quick word please? Strachan: Velocity. Reporter: Welcome to Southampton Football Club. Do you think you are the right man to turn things around? Strachan: No. I was asked if I thought I was the right man for the job and I said, "No, I think they should have got George Graham because I'm useless I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yogurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today. That can be my priority rather than Agustin Delgado. Reporter: This might sound like a daft question, but you'll be happy to get your first win under your belt, won't you? Strachan: You're right. It is a daft question. I'm not even going to bother answering that one. It is a daft question, you're spot on there. Reporter: Bang, there goes your unbeaten run. Can you take it? Strachan: No, I'm just going to crumble like a wreck. I'll go home, become an alcoholic and maybe jump off a bridge. Umm, I think I can take it, yeah. Reporter: There's no negative vibes or negative feelings here? Strachan: Apart from yourself, we're all quite positive round here. I'm going to whack you over the head with a big stick. Down negative man, down! Reporter: So, Gordon, in what areas do you think Middlesbrough were better than you today? Strachan: What areas? Mainly that big green one out there.... Strachan was on Sky on Sunday morning. He saw John Terry's goal and said he was impressed that Terry goes up expecting to score. He contrasted this to Claus Lundekvam the Saints central defender who goes up for every dead ball and never ever looks remotely like scoring. He said if there was a dead body lying in the penalty area the ball would hit it on the head several times a season which he said is more than Lundekvam can manage. He said referees should book Lundekvam for timewasting every time he goes up for a corner. When the co-commentator said if Lundekvam was watching Strachan was only joking. Strachan assured him he was deadly serious. |

Reporter:
".....Gordon, do you think James Beattie deserves to be in the England squad ?....." Gordon Strachan: ".....I don't care, I'm Scottish....." Gordon Strachan: (after defeat by Everton) ".....I tried to get the disappointment out of my system by going for a walk. I ended up 17 miles from home and I had to phone my wife, Lesley to come and pick me up....." Gordon Strachan: ".....The ref said: 'If I make a mistake don't make me look an idiot.' I had a great reply lined up but it would have cost me a couple of quid....." Gordon Strachan: (after Southampton climbed to fourth in the Premiership) ".....I'm going home to get myself a Coca-Cola and a packet of crisps, sit in front of the TV and look at the League table on Teletext all night....." Gordon Starchan: (talking about Sir Alex Ferguson) ".....He used to play tapes of Bill Shankly talking. I remember that and a singer he liked. I don't know who it was but it was crap. He played it on the team bus too, and all the boys hated it. Until one night it got chucked away. If he's still wondering who threw that tape off the bus, it was me. So maybe he was right and I'm not to be trusted....." George Best about Eric Cantona: "....I'd give all the Champagne I've ever drunk to be playing alongside him in a big European match at Old Trafford......" |

Who wants the fourth?? we want our fifth!!! - a Liverpool supporter in Istanbul 25 May 2005 referring to the Premiership position in 2004-2005 season (Everton was fourth and Liverpool was fifth yet winning the fifth Champions League)
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later. - Bob Paisley If Liverpool win the game (CL Final Istanbul 2005) i'll never buy any newspaper for one month!! - Ryan Gigs.. and poor him as Liverpool did won the final.. football is like politics, one moment you think you have won the game but then you lost it - Silvio Berloscuni after saw his AC Milan lost on penalty shootout against Liverpool in CL Final Istanbul 2005 "As a manager you are important sometimes and you make mistakes, but the most important people are your staff and your players. Never call me the special one!" - Rafael Benitez. "Who's bigger than Liverpool?" - Jamie Carragher when asked by Sky Sports if he'd thought of moving to a bigger club. I'm sorry to say but its time for damage limitation - Michel Platini to David Moores (Liverpool Chairman) when Liverpool was 3-0 down, and after the amazing Liverpool triumph Michel Platini then apologize to him (David Moores).. |

Quotes by the The Special One.
QUOTE And I think because of the passion of every English player and every English supporter, and every English journalist for the game, most of the game is played with passion, love for football and instinct, but in football you also have to think. And when I go to the press conference after the game, the game has not finished yet. Arsenal have won that advantage, nobody gave it to them. By playing fantastic football and by winning matches and by winning trophies, they won that respect that the opponent has for them. At the very least we should be given a bit of credit and a little bit of space, and maybe the media should think we could help them discover why English teams do not win European competitions. But I think it's more normal for my team to have no success than it is to win two consecutive European cups. Especially when you play at home, you need a good atmosphere behind you. Facing the press is not easy, but because you have to go, you have to try to take a lot of positive things for yourself from these face-to-face meetings. For example, in my team I love to have Geremi on the bench because he's a low-profile player who is ready to help, ready to fight for the team, ready to do the job I want him to do. I always feel that with a president, an owner - it depends on the structure of the club and the country - the players generally like to see him. I don't say we are a defensive team. I say we are a strong team in defensive terms, but at the same time lacking sufficient fluidity in attack because that will take time to come. I enjoy the work, I enjoy every minute of my professional life. I feel I have a lot to learn from English football and I am completely open to good influences in my way of thinking football. But I also have things to give them. I followed an Italian manager and it cannot be easy when you follow a manager who thinks very differently. I was nine or 10 years old and my father was sacked on Christmas Day. He was a manager, the results had not been good, he lost a game on December 22 or 23. On Christmas Day, the telephone rang and he was sacked in the middle of our lunch. In England, when people go to football they just go to think about football. Nothing else. They enjoy every second of the game. In five years I have never had a match where my team has had less possession than the opponents. In general terms we must think more about our football and not play by instinct. In the same way that I had to follow an Italian manager here, I can imagine that it was not easy for an Italian manager to follow me at Porto. Look at the way teams play against Arsenal. They don't believe they can win. They don't believe. So I know all about the ups and downs of football, I know that one day I will be sacked. So if one day the result becomes 3-3, for me it doesn't change my mind, because it's football, it's normal. What is not normal is that we haven't been scoring enough goals playing such good football as we've been playing in the last few weeks. So when they have Mourinho and Benitez joining the Premiership they should say it's good for us, maybe these guys have something new to give. The negative side of football. The negative side of our society. People sometimes go to football and bring to it the negative aspects of our society. The only thing that we cannot control is our supporters. and i keep the best for the last "I think I am the special one." - Jose Mourinho. This post has been edited by j-j: Mar 27 2007, 07:11 PM |

Don't suppose you'll get what I mean anyway. do wonder if Mourinho still considers himself the special one. unless he considers being special by doing outrageous things like subbing 3 players in at halftime, moaning about injuries he didn't prepare for, finding conspiracy theories left, right and center, and calling champions lucky. |

How can you guys missed out on Eric Cantona's quotes? He's bloody great at these (and at football as well)!
When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown in to the sea. After his first training session in heaven, George Best, from his favourite right wing, turned the head of God who was filling in at left-back. I would love him to save me a place in his team - George Best that is, not God When you are a rich man you are proud to own a Rolls Royce and when you are a poor man you are proud to own a Renault Whatever happens, there are always things you could have done better. You score two goals and you usually feel you could have done better. You score two goals and you usually feel you could have scored a third. That's perfectionism. That's what makes you progress in life. |

Someone said 'football is more important than life and death to you' and I said 'Listen, it's more important than that'." - Bill Shankly, 1981, on 'Live from Two', a Granada Television talk show hosted by Shelley Rohde. This is frequently mis-quoted, usually along the lines of "Football isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that".
"In Latin America the border between soccer and politics is vague. There is a long list of governments that have fallen or been overthrown after the defeat of the national team." - Luis Suarez. "To say that these men paid their shillings to watch twenty-two hirelings kick a ball is merely to say that a violin is wood and catgut, that Hamlet is so much paper and ink." - J. B. Priestley, The Good Companions, 1928. "Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win." - Gary Lineker, July 4, 1990 (after playing for England in a World Cup semi-final against Germany that was lost after a penalty shootout) "If God had meant us to play football in the sky, he'd have put grass up there." - Brian Clough, 1991, manager of Nottingham Forest, bemoaning the method of football known as the 'long ball game'. "The ball is round and there are two goals." (Piłka jest okrągła, a bramki są dwie.) - Kazimierz Grski. "Football is war." - Rinus Michels, former Dutch national coach, known as the General "All I know most surely about morality and obligations, I owe to football." - Albert Camus, French philosopher, novelist and goalkeeper "Football is a game of four halves." - Gary Lineker, referring to the home and away legs of cup competitions. "The ball is round, the game lasts ninety minutes, and everything else is just theory." - Sepp Herberger, German coach. "After the game is before the game", - Sepp Herberger, German coach. "The first 90 minutes are the most important." - Bobby Robson. "It's a funny old game." - Jimmy Greaves. "Ein, zu zvei, zu drei - drun! (One, two, three - bang!)" - Hristo Stoichkov, Bulgarian soccer player before 1994 World Cup Game Bulgaria-Germany. Bulgaria won surprisingly. "Football. Bloody hell." - Alex Ferguson, just after Manchester United won the 1999 UEFA Champions League final by scoring two goals in the 91st and 93rd minute of the game against FC Bayern Munich to win the match by 2-1. "Every disadvantage has its advantage", Johan Cryuf This post has been edited by maxizanc: Apr 15 2007, 10:31 PM |

There's not one club in Europe with an anthem like You'll Never Walk Alone. There's not one club in the world so united with the fans. I sat there watching the Liverpool fans and they sent shivers down my spine. A mass of 40,000 people became one force behind their team. That's something not many teams have. For that I admire Liverpool more than anything." Dutch legend Johan Cruyff after Istanbul.
"The English club proved that miracles really do exist. I've now made Liverpool my English team. They showed that football is the most beautiful sport of all. The Liverpool supporters didn't let me go to sleep the night before, there were 10 of them to every three Milan supporters. They showed their unconditional support at half-time when they were losing 3-0 and still they didn't stop singing." World Cup legend Diego Maradona who was cheering for Liverpool in Istanbul. "Who's bigger than Liverpool?" Jamie Carragher when asked by Sky Sports if he'd thought of moving to a bigger club. |

" By singing "You'll Never Walk Alone", the fans sent a message to eleven shattered men in the dressing-room: the fans will be with you, through the wind and the rain, through times of adversity like this. No matter how much the payers hurt, we'd never walk alone. Our fans were with us. Together. Their message was to play for some respect, play for pride in the shirt. "The fans are with us," I said. "Let's give them something to shout about. They've spent loads of money. They're singing our name and we are getting stuffed 3-0. If we get one, they'll get behind us even more. That will help put another one in for us. Come on, let's f***ing have a go!"
Steven Gerrard. Champions League Final 2005 Istanbul "Liverpool are magic, Everton are tragic." Emlyn "Crazy Horse" Hughes "I said to Kevin (Keegan), 'I'll go near post' and he replied, 'No, just go for the ball.'" Tommy Smith "The only thing I fear is missing an open goal in front of the Kop. I would die if that were to happen. When they start singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' my eyes start to water. There have been times when I've actually been crying while I've been playing". Kevin Keegan "We were sitting in the dressing room and we could clearly hear thousands of fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Can you imagine how that felt? We were 3-0 down in the Champions League final and all we could hear were 45,000 people letting us know they still believed in us. We knew they had endured a long journey and made so many sacrifices to be there. It was at that point we started to believe too." Luis Garcia on what inspired the amazing comeback in Istanbul. "Liverpool's fans are just amazing. The best feeling I have at away games is Anfield. It is just incredible. I love it. You get goose bumps when you see their supporters sing You'll Never Walk Alone." Arsenal and France star Thierry Henry. |

"Maybe the tactic is to unsettle the boy, I don't know. He's barking up the wrong tree there, but I think he was below the belt bringing class into it. Coming from a poor working class does not mean to say you're not educated." By Sir Alex Ferguson hit-back Jose Moanrinho criticism on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sounds similar to what Pele said about Steven Gerrard:Owen Hargreaves pays homage to United's midfield magician PELE: GERRARD WOULD GRACE BRAZIL TEAM Steve Hunter 07 June 2006 Football icon Pele has hailed the world-class talents of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and believes he would grace the Brazil national team. Pele is a big admirer of the Reds midfield dynamo and feels he would fit into any team. "Brazil is not a defensively-minded team and Gerrard is always going forward and he would play in my team, no doubt," enthused Pele. "Gerrard is an excellent player, absolutely world-class. If I was a manager, everywhere I went I would buy Steven Gerrard. "He is what Brazil needs, because he is always looking forward and has a big heart. "Two years ago I saw Gerrard play and then I saw him in Tokyo in a game against Sao Paulo. I said then that Gerrard is a great player. To me he is one of the best midfielders in the world. He is an excellent player." |

"Son, every man on the street and in the pub have their own team and idean on how we should play. So do I, the difference between yours and mine is mine gets tested on the pitch and yours will never be." - Roy Evens to me when I met him in KL a few years back. Trying to talk to him about the team he puts out, and this quote came out. Very harsh, but absolutely true.

I dont know the best quote in football.. but this must be the most inspirational ever quote in modern football history...
"Don't let your heads drop. All the players who go on the pitch after half-time have to keep their heads held high. We are Liverpool. You are playing for Liverpool. Do not forget that. You have to hold your heads high for the supporters. You have to do it for them. You cannot call yourselves Liverpool players if you have your heads down. If we create a few chances we have the possibility of getting back into this. Believe you can do it and you will. Give yourself the chance to be heroes." (Rafa Benitez - Half time. Ataturk Stadium. I was wondering, like the benitez's quote during halftime in 2005 UCL final, who wrote that ? Did benitez wrote an article about the halftime, or do they allow some journalist inside the dressing room ? Or the players tell the media that benitez said those words ? You know what i mean ?
If it's an interview or from a press conference than nvm la |

"You can stick your Scudetto on your ASS." - Massimo Ambrosini
"I think that they know they made themselves look bad, but these things can happen. Mind you, one thing is to offend people and another to sing along with an ironic fan chant. My lads did not do that at Siena and nor will they this Sunday, because it is not right. It won't happen." - Mancini reaction towards Ambrosini, forgetting the fact that the Nerazzuri were clearly heard chanting 'Who doesn't jump is Rossonero' when they took the Scudetto title. |

After being criticized in Sunday's newspapers for his reckless foul on Thatcher, Beckham said he had done it on purpose.
"I am sure some people think that I have not got the brains to be that clever, but I do have the brains. ... I knew I will be out for a few weeks, so I thought: 'Let's get the yellow card out of the way,'" he told British newspapers. Doh! |

This was referring to United's Cristiano Ronaldo. 1st dude - "Do you think the FA will even bother with a vote for this years Player of the Year Award?" 2nd dude - "Nope." Nuff said. |

“I'm going to check what he had for breakfast, something must have upset him.” Responding to Mark Hughes' claim that City v Chelsea is now bigger than Liverpool v United “You can't beat Frank Sinatra. Eric Cantona's; "when the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown in to the sea"
I still remember Alan Hansen's; "you will never win anything with kids" on Fergie's fledging back in 95/96 season. when MU lose te opening game 3 - 1 to aston villa, just after they let go off kanchelskis, hughes and ince. and Mu proved him wrong by clinching the cup double that very season GOaaaaaaaaaaaaaaLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!; what we usually heard from Latin football commentators |
