seeing most of the post here really makes me think a lot on getting 8600GTS...


Seems like it is not worth it at all... and a little top-up can already get me a 8800GTS.. but the thing is even if I get my self an 8800GTS... with my current proc (AMD Athlon 3000+) it will only bottleneck the system =(

geez... really gives me a lot of headache...

Seems like we have the same issue in our head right now... I'm also a user of AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and a 6800GS.


At first I am thinking of upgrading to 8600GTS because changing to Dual-Core will cost much more money... need a new mobo too.. and ofcourse... I need to change my RAM to DDR2 as well... that is really costly... but then seeing how the price between 8600GTS and 8800GTS doesn't differ that much (if taking into considertion the performance upgrade)... I'm already very reluctant to take 8600GTS. 8600GT.. I think is too low lar... sweat.gif

Need to think carefully on this...
