This is what I like from Illegear.

But weird that i7 7700HQ needed to be stress test.
I thought it's a locked CPU and already being tested at the factory.

But anyway, don't downgrade to i5 if it also a work laptop.
If it's just for gaming, can lah.

So what's your plan if you drop this order?
ASUS ROG? Alienware? Razer Blade?
But don't think Razer Blade available in Malaysia though.

Yea, i need a new laptop for long term use (a few years). The one Im using now (4-5 years already) is i7-4700mq, but the gpu is garbage. According to benchmark, i5-7300hq < i7-4700mq and it is not hyper thread too.

I think they bulk order all the parts, if unlucky will get defective units one.

No idea on what to get. Illegear offered the most attractive specs for the price i can afford (i'm still a student fyi)

I bought my Q5 evo for steam game only (csgo dota2 etc). Not a fan of those AAA titles. Hence I just grab the i5 version since I think I wont really fully utilize i7. I would say depends on your usage.

Beside weird random mouse lag/ freeze (Probably is windows issue, will occur randomly when u click the windows button or you open and close some applications fast). Will upgrade SSD myself and fresh install windows 10 to see if it solved the problem.

Generally the laptop is working fine and fit for my purposes.

For my case, I found 5 dead pixel on my screen within the 1st week of purchase. But to my surprise my problem was solved within the same day I sent in for inspection. They replaced a brand new ips screen,test it and within few hours I collect my Q5 evo. Till now there is no issue with the screen.

Sometimes it is really product issues but kudos to illegear team excellent after sales service.

z5 1050ti exceeds my budget even with ssd opt out.

the sales personnel told me that ETA for i7-7700hq restock is unknown through whatsapp. If i am to wait for another 2 weeks, will I be assured that I will get the product later?

Fortunately there's still no dead pixels yet.

But still waiting if the firmware update to let the 120Hz screen dim will happens though. @Prince J?

Illegear handles me patiently and professionally.. But here is my 2 cents: Instead of ignoring ur customers for a period of time after they ask about something, why not just tell the customers that they will be attended shortly due to whatever reason. Like me myself, I always expect rapid response but I wont know if the issue is brought up to management and they are discussing regarding the issue or I am just being ignored.

Alright, it's okay.

But, how do I get notified when there's firmware update?

So far I just compensate this by turning on lights so it won't be that glowing in the dark.

Have been using Q5 Evo for few weeks now..

It performs admirably in gaming with i7-7700 HQ + 1050ti..

Speakers..not that good compared to...say..Lenovo Y500...

Love the RGB keyboard..

Only gripe is the left side of the laptop..lack of USB port...
