What i have heard if someone is a Malaysian resident and someone marries that individual, you get to apply for a citizenship of the country.

Have you even asked your girlfriend ever about moving to your country for any reason. At least you should be knowing first what she has in mind.

First of all Congrats.

You need her to ask China Embassy in Malaysia for document China Government want.
(Must ask in Malaysia because you will need verify document at Embassy of China in Malaysia)

After that, you need to submit form at JPN. (not sure can do it at other state or not)

However your registration location must me follow your IC.

the remaining part are as same as local, wait 21 days and sumpah. That iit

you need to confirm which place you want to register first.

if you register in China first then will have different procedure if not mistaken.

Nope.

If means register marriage at CHINA then MALAYSIA.

there will be different procedure.

So please TS justify your Options.

A. CHINA > MALAYSIA

B. MALAYSIA > CHINA

i can only give some minor advice on B since we do it at Malaysia first then my wife country.

I not sure yours but i went JPN Putrajaya, since every JPN will submit your form to HQ (Putrajaya) if not mistaken. So i direct submit at Putra so there wont be any lost of document or delay delivering issue.
(i do not have faith to Malaysia Government)

But end up they make mistake also.

Submit Registration Form at Putrajaya to arrange Form Submition and Sumpah Location

V

Planning to Sumpah at Putrajaya (I stay KL, but IC at Perak), double confirm with them and they say OK, give me a seal letter as recommendation letter.

V

Bring back my Certified Marriage Registration to Perak HQ to proceed, open the letter, they wrote Sumpah should be at PERAK JPN instead of PUTRAJAYA.
(Double confirm with me yet make mistake)

V

Hang up me and my wife photo at papan notice.

V

Wait 21 Days

V

No one protest. Then we SUMPAH at PERAK JPN.
(Sumpah Content will be able to conduct in either BM and EN, if your wife want to know sumpah content need find instant translaters, else can answer YES for every question)
*Question i forgot but will be somthing like do you agree XXX to be your husband...bla bla bla...
