*
GamaX320 how many times do u need to keep asking? every week?

there is no definite way to know exact station, the suggested thread are those contributed by users.

just go to ur regular stations and pump using amex. if not accept, amex would be rejected. either u change stations n try again, or use other cards like mbb ikhwan MasterCard or ikhwan petronas visa.

good la u

now i'm waiting for resolution by mbb technical/IT team.

they miscalculated my cb by 1sen (from mbb visa ikhwan petronas). they have verified and confirmed the issue. only happened to 1 transaction.

petrol pump: RM68.40
8% cb: RM5.472
actual cb i got: RM5.46 (error)
correct cb: RM5.47 (rounddown)

i argued that even after rounding-down, no matter what is the logic also cannot make it to RM5.46.

if they changed the rounding logic, it would apply to all transactions, not just 1. laugh.gif

QUOTE(cybpsych @ May 9 2017, 05:48 PM)
nope.

CS just took it as a case, not a concern to them anyway.

since their IT has verified the error, and they acknowledged the issue, i'm ok.

now waiting for my 1sen.
*
finally gotten my 1sen back innocent.gif

This one really new level.

0.01 cent also can dapat balik.

Wondering if I should claim back some of my missing CBs
*
few years back, i fought back RM1 cb cuz their T&C didnt mention the min RM1 cb per month. only internal ppl knows about it, so they have no B&W to disprove my claim. with the recent reinstatement of 5% cb, the T&C stated clearly of the min RM1 cb per month.

now, i fought back RM0.01 pulak laugh.gif which they have verified and confirmed system error for just 1 transaction blink.gif

See wrongly laugh.gif

I saw the highlight for Ikhwan on my calender instead.

27th and 28th may be a little too close to land the transactions in the same CB Pool.
*
biggrin.gif

generally, user should monitor their spending and posting dates. then they'd know how long does it take to get a transaction posted.

for amex, usually is same-day posting. only certain few occasion it would be +1 or +2 or even longer (rare) to get posted.

if go back to our usual places that get posted same-day, should be fine, particularly for Amex.

*
usually, u will get 1st sms notification for 1st use. after that, none because mbb set the threshold very high.

call CS to lower down the threshold to RM1.

yep, but ~50 days interest free if you spend on 25-Dec only.

the 20-day interest free is from bill date, not not everyday spending will get ~50 days.

Hi guys,

Im super new with this maybank card , may i know how is statement date works? I wanna fully utilize the payment period.

with aeon card, any transaction after 11st of each month will include in next month's statement.

For example , i spend 5k on 11th on May, this transaction will include in June's bill , therefore i only need to clear it on 2nd of july.

Pls guide me in this. Thanks guys.
*
use above as reference.

think statement date as your telco postpaid bill. they bill u once a month, for previous month's usage. same to cc. they issue you statement for previous month's spending.

best thing for cc is there is 20-day interest free period to clear the statement amount.

Aeon cc is slightly different than banks. their statement date is fixed to 10th of the month, and the payment due date (PDD) is fixed to 2nd of the following month. that's around 22-23 days between statement date -> PDD.

your example above is correct.

My Amex statement date is 24th May and the payment due date is June 13.

The 20day interest free period is starting from June 13?
*
the answers are in your question laugh.gif

statement date: 25 May 2017
payment due date: 13 Jun 2017 (+20 days after statement date)
interest free period: 20 days

with 20-day interest free period, you have additional +20 days to pay, which is the payment due date 13 June 2017.

this is why we always pay full, each month, to earn the 20-day interest free for the following month.

by doing so, you are prolonging the repayment for (some) of your cc spending, up to ~50 days (assuming you spend very early after statement date).
