QUOTE(lhwang @ Jul 10 2017, 09:24 PM) Kena reject my application online without giving reason. Reply them to ask for providing any additional info if they needs, hope get it sorted out soon. (Crossing finger) Common for Maybank. If still cannot, try applying from Maybank Card Centres and so far it seems the approval rate is quite high.

QUOTE(kisa @ Jul 16 2017, 01:41 PM) I have been using my AMEX card for the past week and had sign up for a Maybank2U account. However I do not see any transactions in the account. Is it due to the fact that my statement date is the 8th? I had only started using the card on the 8th itself. Thanks in advance! You should be able to see transactions unless all your transactions have not been posted which is quite unlikely...

(etc, petrol, bills, groceries usage) It's better you ask in recommendation thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4161836

QUOTE(jordanseow @ Jul 19 2017, 11:45 PM) Oh okay thanks . I applied visa as I have other bank credit card is MasterCard . Visa last time also quite many merchant no accept right ? Now better d Visa and MasterCard are accepted widely in Malaysia. Merchants which accept Visa will accept MasterCard too. Maybank Visa has an advantage too because it comes with PayWave. Having said so, it's a pretty useless card unless you really have no better card for your spending. Else other cards may be better options than the Visa or MasterCard.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Jul 20 2017, 08:53 AM) Not really useless. You can use Maybank Visa/Mastercard to get discount at some merchants, eg Lazada @ Wednesday. I will use CIMB CR on Monday and get additional 5%. Just that these days, CIMB CR is a bit crazy and some Lazada deals will not get 5%. It's sad that it has removed UOB on Tuesdays which I used to have additional 6% using YOLO. Maybank is never in my consideration for Lazada. Well, at least for now I buy whenever I like and pay with UOB YOLO.

QUOTE(v1n0d @ Jul 22 2017, 11:22 AM) Apart from the credit limit, are there any differences between the Gold & Platinum cards? I recently had my limit upgraded, wondering whether or not it's worth requesting a new set of cards. Free travel insurance which I never use before and won't bother. But I appreciate the shared hotline with my VS card, I don't need to go through one by one selection by calling general line.
