QUOTE(aH wAi @ Dec 30 2007, 03:56 PM) You want with chinese word or not, for CDA 162022/1 R6F38 when you upgrade the firmware will come with a full list of language to choose when it startup at first time. For CDA 162024/95 R7A is English (UK) and Simplified Chinese language. For installing chinese language into P1i, some phone shop can do it immediately, but unlocking i think cannot. This post has been edited by samolera: Dec 30 2007, 10:50 PM |

Mine has English (UK) and Simplified Chinese language. I already have the chinese version even the ringtones n pics default are writen in chinese. The main thing is i wan to remove the chinese language option from my hp (the chinese virtual keybod n changing to chinese language in handwritin recognition). Can i do it? i thought if i add american english language and other language i can remove them. For CDA 162024/95 R7A is English (UK) and Simplified Chinese language. When you add other language it will remain the chinese language, one thing to remove it is to change the phone CDA to generic language, http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/CDA/P1i then upgrade the phone firmware from SEUS will remove the chinese language, but before upgrade must do the backup on the phone first, because the upgrade firmware will clear all data inside the phone, just like a new phone. |

If yes then do thisMain Menu > Control Panel > Other > Select language > English (UK) To set the virtual keyboard to English just tap the word 中 and it will switch to 英 from the hanging menu appeal while typing. How can i change the CDA to other genric language? Another question is, for those who doesnt have the chinese language in P1i they just have english virtual keyboard n cannot change to chinese in handwriting recognition? if that is the case,i just want to make my P1i like that. |

Yes for those doesn't have chinese support, there is no virtual keyboard and handwritted recognition and not even chinese font. How can i change the CDA to other genric language? Another question is, for those who doesnt have the chinese language in P1i they just have english virtual keyboard n cannot change to chinese in handwriting recognition? if that is the case,i just want to make my P1i like that. Im believe hongkong CDA have both english and chinese support just like Singapore APAC CDA. You just need to switch over to English without changing the CDA. |

HK version should be able to display in english along with chinese input support. in case you see your default file name is in chinese, it is because they were in there initially with chinese naming and your phone wont be renaming them to english. To change your CDA to other region, check out the earlier post by searching for XS++. other than SG/TW/HK CDA, other region will be stuck with firmware without chinese support at all, not even chinese word display natively. |

I used HK CDA before. Is just the same as Sg CDA except no "HAN YU PIN YIN". There's option to choose either english or chinese language.
