Hello there, I am new to this thread.. Been reading this thread from page 30.. Quite lot of information..

I am a fresh graduate with chemical engineering background. I have been to Petronas SI in KLCC and already got an offer in one of PCG. I think the position is process engineer or plant engineer(dont have the offer letter yet) Now need to do medical checkup.

The problem is I also got an offer at asiaflex Technip for position project engineer. The location is at Tanjung Langsat Port Johor. What do u all think ? Which one is better choice to start my career.

I am aiming to get Ir. as early as possible. From my info, Technip is good company but the position offered I am not sure is related to my degree or not.

Please all the seniors and taiko here help enlighten me on this matter.

Hello there, need some help here

I just accept offer from Petronas to work in one its OPU. Will have my PIPE starting on 3rd Sept and finish 16 Sept. Will need to report duty on 17th Sept.

May I know, will Petronas take care of my transport and accomodation to go to that OPU and stay for the first few days. I ask this because the place is very new to me and dont have any relatives there. And time given between end of PIPE program and reporting duty is relatively short. If everything is being taken care of, so there is no need to worry la..

And tq for those who reply my question before, I have been offered pstn of exec(process eng). For those who is still waiting for offer letter, u will get it after u do medical check up.

Petlin, Kerteh.. I am inquiring because finishing PIPE on 16 sept at Bangi ( say 12 pm ) .. n go straight away to Kerteh( 5hours drive) ? because tmorrow morning(17 sept) need to report in at 8 am.. I think should start renting house as night of 16 sept need to sleep also..

1. Call HR about the accomodation ( although there is one kind fellow who is also going to same place as me already tell me about it )~ just to confirm
2. Get own transport ( borrow from family)
3. The only thing that worry me now is how to ask for 1 day leave as I will have my convocation day on 22nd of september ( 1st week also want ponteng )

You will receive ur offer letter when u already done ur medical check up.. they will ask u to do medical check up first.. currently I'm on my PIPE session.. food is nice.. dun worry, Petronas is trying their best to cater sudden increase of employee this year.. My advice is, call the HR about the medical check up.. and be patient
