I just want to asking, let say if we have failed interview with Petronas are they banned us for 2 years because my friend told me about this and I want to verify.

Still reading previous threads. A lot of history. I was surprised there were time people stayed until 9pm. Now 7pm, the office is cleared.

Because so little people staying late (except for my boss, he stayed late (7-8pm) because he came late), I feel semacam when I am alone. So many stories I heard..especially in block C (that is where my office) sad.gif .

I dunno why people like working in Petronas, maybe because of the famous KLCC or what no so sure. I think this company was underpaid unless you are blue ocean eyes of the company. There are lot of people hardworking get the rating 3 and 4 but the selected employees normally geng boss will get the rating 1 or 2.

When I was interviewed with Petronas they said they will pay my salary lower than SapuraKencana and asked me to accept because I want to work for national company. What a shame. Then i decided not to continue looking any jobs with this local company.

I Like!! That is so true. As I said previously, if not for the training and the network that I developed in Petronas, I would not be where I am today.

In any other companies, you will have the same issues and you will face the same dilemma of balacing family life vs professional life, I chose to ensure that my kids get a whole new experience so that was one of the reason I left but I will take the first opportunity to return to Petronas once my kids go to college.

If looking to settle down yes, this GLC is a good company to balance family life and professional life but if looking monetary and more challenges handling the project I would suggest to have abroad experiences. I also planning join back local company once got all experiences here.

Bro are you with Petronas? I fully understand Petronas rating since I came from its subsidiaries 5-6 years back ago, yes am totally agree to survive in SapuraKencana you need have good relationship with boss. They not rating because of performance work but its buttkissing culture. Ops is not all of the bosses are doing but it almost.

During the interview I already reject the offer due to;

1- Not satisfy the job scope...I'm looking and apply the Verification Engineer... during interview as me to do Mechanical Engineer
2- Low salary which at the time looking for RM 8k also cannot get.

Now, I decided to follow the EPCC contractor again and will strengthen up my experience first before join client side.

Still thinking want to go or not bro, I have done my TA long time ago, now they email ask to come to their office for chit chat session.
As for now, not decided yet and assure I'm more interested in PCSB to doing project. Furthermore I also dont know they can gives wages which I request it before. E2 or E3 for maximum is how much?

If they dont want, they can use wat ever excuse for dont want..i think in first place already know the CGPA because it is common and stated in the resume...but interviewer maybe like him...when goes to somebody or upstairs maybe they think not consider and might choose other candidates which they think better and deserve to fill up the job.. no luck and all the best...

Heard that Petronas bought and take over MISC recently, who follow the full story?

Previously MISC is Berhad company which shareholder 66% Petronas and the rest from EPF.

That mean Petronas will privatize MISC same as Carigali, MLNG, Dagangan and etc?

As per email by PETRONAS which I read before, the employees will remain but in future the logo, emails and identity will change accordance to PETRONAS but for MMHE which is 100% subsidiaries of MISC, PETRONAS are not thinking to take over the MMHE.

MISC had a big lost due to changing business in shipping and tanker. Now they will move on concentrate on LNG and Offshore Business only.

Mtem mahu CEO Petronas disingkir

KUALA LUMPUR - Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Petronas, Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas dan kepimpinan barunya berdepan dengan desakan gabungan 42 NGO ekonomi Melayu dan 101 NGO ekonomi bersekutu, mahu mereka disingkirkan daripada mengepalai syarikat minyak negara itu.

NGO tersebut yang bergabung di bawah Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Melayu (Mtem) mendakwa Petronas sebagai sebuah syarikat nadi ekonomi negara telah gagal menjalankan tanggungjawabnya membantu meningkatkan ekonomi usahawan Bumiputera.

"Nila setitik rosak susu sebelanga. Datuk Shamsul Azhar adalah nila setitik yang merosakkan susu sebelanga," tegas Pengerusi Mtem, Datuk Syed Ali Mohamed Alattas.

"Arahan yang jelas perlu diberikan kepada organisasi Petronas. Apa yang patut saya lakukan itu yang perdana menteri tanya, kita akan beritahu pandangan kita, beberapa perkara perlu dibetulkan, tentukan pembangunan usahawan Bumiputera berjalan dan dapat 'heavy cake' bahagian dalam program ini yang mana sekarang ini sudah tertinggal ke belakang sekarang ini," tegas beliau.

Menurut Mtem, pihaknya telah menzahirkan rasa kecewa dan amarah terhadap tindak tanduk Petronas di bawah kepimpinan Shamsul kepada Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Selain corak pengurusan yang menjurus ke arah perkembangan negatif, difahamkan juga terdapat elemen rasuah yang kini sedang dibongkar dari semasa ke semasa oleh Mtem.

Berdasarkan aduan yang diterima daripada pihak yang berkepentingan dalam dan luar Petronas, lima perkara telah dirumuskan mengapa Petronas dilihat gagal.

Dasar keterbukaan Petronas kini dilihat mengutamakan syarikat-syarikat asing yang sebahagiannya tidak memiliki lesen Petronas sepertimana yang termaktub dalam undang-undang.

Petronas juga dilihat tidak memberi peluang secukupnya kepada usahawan Melayu dan tempatan untuk terlibat dalam projek-projek mega negara seperti Samur dan Sogt Kimanis.

Mtem juga mendakwa Petronas juga telah melantik individu-individu yang dahulunya ketua-ketua syarikat pesaing Petronas iaitu Shell untuk mengisi jawatan strategik dalam GLC itu.

Bahkan, aneh sekali apabila warga asing dan bekas ketua-ketua dari syarikat pesaing Petronas dahulunya kini menjawat jawatan strategik dalam syarikat konglomerat itu.

"Keuntungan Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MMHE) jatuh walaupun bertukat ke kepimpinan warga asing dan dilaporkan telah dikeluarkan dari indeks FTSE Bursa Malaysia (FBM KLIC) akhir tahun lalu (24 Disember) 2012," tulis satu kenyataan khas Mtem.

Mtem juga telah menerima aduan di mana terdapatnya projek baru Petronas yang kelihatan berisiko, tidak menguntungkan dan tidak sejajar dengan matlamat dan halatuju pembangunan Petronas.

Menurut Mtem lagi, terdapat juga aduan yang mengatakan Petronas turut memberi kontrak kepada syarikat-syarikat berkepentingan asing yang bermasalah, tidak mempunyai pengalaman kerja yang baik dan masalah integriti.

Selain itu, pelbagai polisi baru dan halangan turut menyebabkan usahawan Melayu dan tempatan kehilangan pekerjaan dan lesen semasa mahu memperbaharui lesen dari Petronas seperti yang berlaku ke atas Steel Structure Swac Code, Detail Design Engineering Swar Code.

Sehubungan itu, Mtem menggesa Petronas yang menjadi benteng ekonomi negara diperbetulkan sebelum ia rosak dan perubahan harus berlaku sebelum Pilihan Raya Umum ke-13 (PRU13) bagi memberi keyakinan kepada rakyat bahawa amanah rakyat tidak dikhianati.

Sementara itu, seorang pemegang amanah Mtem yang enggan namanya didedahkan memberitahu, penasihat Petronas, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad juga setuju bahawa kepimpinan Petronas di bawah Shamsul bermasalah.

"Sampai Tun Mahathir kata baiklah, saya setuju dengan anda dan pergilah jumpa presiden kemudian jumpa saya semula," katanya.

Mtem akan membuat laporan kepada Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) minggu depan ekoran dakwaan rasuah dalam Petronas dan memuat naik maklumat semasa mengenai kepincangan syarikat itu menerusi www.mtem.my.
