Need info,

I have passed the Technical Assesment For E2 Grade (as the interviewer told me at the end of insterview that I'm recommended)and Now I'm wating for S.I . How long u need to wait basically for the S.I after the T.A interview.

For the Salary, what is the salary for E2 Grade, I got 7 years experience in O&G. and my current salary is 6.5k with a
senior post. I really need this job bcoz all the benefits they can offer me, compare to my current employer, it is like
"Earth and Sky"..haha.. drool.gif

For Fresh graduates/undergraduates, below are the area which u can get big money in O&G besides the Upstream field:

- Safety - Starting if u are working with Fabricator (onshore) - RM1800, this is only SPM. if u joint client - Unlimited..depend on Client
- PDMS - if u can become PDMS Admin- Normally 15k, beginner around 4-5 K..and u don need a degree..all u have to do is to attend the PDMS course level by level.

Guys, I have 2yrs experience not related to OnG as an RND engineer,  petronas offered my a post at Petronas Research in Bangi as a Researcher. Could I use my 2 years experience to negotiate my salary or would they still consider me as a fresh graduate. Its not that Im greedy, their fresh grad salary is already twice my current salary. So I dont mind being considered fresh. Just wondering if Petronas acknowledge that 2 years experience. My argument is that the post that they're offering is related to my current post....therefore maybe there should be something extra to accommodate my experience.
*
How come Petronas offered u lower than Fresh Grad. (now RM5k)? What is your post actually and Grade? if E1 Scheme, it shall followthe Fresh Grad Starting Salary..unless the requirement of researcher minimum a Dip holder, but from my info, Researcher most of them is degree holder..

I am having my SI with Petronas this Wednesday for the position in their Finance department. I'm a fresh grad who just finished my ACCA examinations. I have a degree in Accounting and Finance from one of the leading universities in the UK. I'm also an ACCA Affiliate with only 4months of work experience so far  cry.gif

Hi, I'm new in this forum
I got my SI in 17 April 2012 (over 2 weeks ago) and I'm not given any notification from the HR staff...
Previously the HR staff told me that the result will be notified within 2 weeks..
Is it still normal?
Will they tell us if we are failed from the SI?
It's confusing me really..

Please anyone give me an information about this,,thanks all

Are u fresh grads? Just wait & wait & wait..

If i'm not mistaken, for experienced, where we need to attend the Technical Assessment (TA) before S.I, the result for S.I will be out within 2 weeks to 1 month, since we already know which position that we are going to get, department/division and under which 'boss'..For Fresh grad, it will take sometimes since they need to find the suitable/available position.

Good Luck for those who will be attending the S.I..

Wanna to ask from LYNers..
1. What is the Salary Range for E2 Grade in Petronas..
2. Is there any additional allowance/technical allowances?When?
3. How many months the probation period? After that period, the pay will be increased?
4. What happen if you reject their offer?

I'm now waiting my offer letter..but I dont have any idea how they are going to offer me..

1. Based on year of experience, individual performance and etc so very hard to say the range.
2. No. But if you are based in East Malaysia, additional 10%.
3. 6 months and after the period, the pay will still be the same.
4. Life moves on.

TQ Bro 4 ur feedback..For item 3, if I joined on July, then hw about increment for the next year, which means for 2013..

Already got the offer letter, but never mentioned any benefits, Medical etc..is it normal?
Or it will be mentioned in Executive Handbook? BTW, the medical benefits will cover my wife maternity is it? Already try to give a call to HR, but no answer.

Same case like me...i ditch their offer...they have cut off all the nice benefit for new comer....
hence the salary offered i have to normalise to minus RM700.

Petronas benefits vs (inside bracket my current company):
- no housing loan or car loan...(current company, housing loan interest subsidy - minus BLR 4% for up to RM450k loan, car loan-RM65k free interest loan)
- 15 days annual leave & 1 day paternity..(after confirmation 22 days AL, 3 days paternity)
- medical benefits: Outpatient RM 4k annually plus dependants, hospitalisation/major medical RM75k staff & RM20k each dependants (RM20k outpatient plus dependants, hospitalisation/major medical RM50k staff & RM50k each dependants)
- dental RM400 annually, no optical (dental RM1,400 each dependant, optical RM400 each dependant)
- unclear policy on reimbursable professional membership and study scholarship/assistance (memberships fees reimbursable up to 2 professional bodies annually, full scholarship for ACCA, ICAEW. partial scholarship for CIA, ESH/DOSH professional qualifications. max bonding period 3 years depends on amount of scholarship).

But petronas still have plus points in my case such as:
maternity 4k normal, 6k scissor......(none currently)
EPF employer contribution 19%  (my company 16%)

the above based on what HRM personnel informed to me via e-mail...coz apparently in my case they do not mail the employee term & benefits with the offer letter..After due consideration, i was of the opinion that the offer (within 35% increment) still does not able to compensate other benefits which ill lose if i leave current company...PLUS ive received several other offer from non-MNC company who willing to offered 35% increment as well but the benefits much more worse....
*
Guys, Is it above T&C still applicable for the new intake?

i got SI on friday morning...been to TA last thursday with HSE department....just wondering, if i pass SI means the position that will be offered to me will be permanent kan? coz during TA, the big boss told me the position is contract basis...or they just wanna test me if i doesnt mind with the contract basis?
*
IMO, If got SI, then it will be permanent, unless u really choose contract basis..
