Bro, I need your advice on this.I am a process engineer with nearly 2 years exp in oil and gas consultancy industry. I nee you to advise me based on your experience which one is best for me... i really need to have clear picture on my situation right now. I've got an offer letter from petronas and another company in KL... can you help me on the following issues:
1) with petronas i will work as a process engineer at one of its plant with basic salary of it freshie ( i think i shud not explain anymore about petronas to you, they are already well known). with the another company, a new company in Malaysia which has just open its office in Malaysia doing consultancy in upstream engineering and project management for project around the world. they are expert in FPSO, Cost reduction analysis, Process simplification and other engineering dicipline. they only have 30-50 staffs which spread through out the world with its based in houston, london and newest (KL). most (about 90%) of its staff have 25 years exp and above. my position there is process engineer and will be under the supervision of one principal process engineer with 33 years exp. ok... comparing these two...which one do you think will benefit me in term of career development and my future as a engineer.
2) to be honest, i love to stay in KL and like to do fundamental engineering analysis compare to operating existing facilities. in case of i choose to work with petronas, do i have any chance to return back to design engineering field which I love most. is there any opportunity for me to return to KL after develop my career at Plant environment.
This third question is open for all... it is true that petronas will increase the basik salary to 5k...because during the interview one of its hr tell me that i will get 5k basic slary...but in the offer letter it turns to be 4k...wahhh...maybe in january or what the 5k salary will be implement???
