Hi,

it's not a normal interview, it's a chit chat session, but the questions asked is similar to structured interview, i've been asked to write an essay "briefly describe the situation you questioned your values and/or beliefs"

and after that the manager asked me to introduce myself (family, schools, universities, qualification, experiences, etc.) if you have experiences, you have to describe ur job, role and pls be careful wif whatever you put in the CV, they will ask.

She also brief me about the job offered, environment, how it works, her expectations me and bla bla bla (which is quite interesting)

Other than that, ur perceptions abt PETRONAS, ur hope, where are u in 2-3 years from now and many more questions...the session took about 75 minutes to finish.

But now, i have to wait for 2-3 weeks whether they will shortlist me for structured interview or just forget about my dream to work with PETRONAS.

Yepp, i just passed the phone interview and chit chat session, n now waitim for the result.

herm...what should i do? i am so eager to know about my result whther being shortlisted or not for SI as i am successfully attended the chit chat session last monday, Aug 26.

r u fresh grad?, who's callng u? which dept? what post they offered u? as for my situation, they do call me on 2 aug 2013 for phone interview, and again on 20 aug, they call me for doc submission as well as filling up declaration form, they had called me for chit chat session on 26 aug, and now i am waiting for the SI result, which is expected to be announced on 17 sep...still waitimm

ur situation is just like mine, my conv will be held in Nov 2013, i had submitted the full transcript and certification of completed study to them prior filling in the declaration form. i'd finishd my study in dec 2012.

I failed to placed myself to the final interview. So sad, i really want to work with petronas. Maybe not my luck, the lady that interviewed me told that they have somebody who has solid experiences in HR.

Last i heard that anybody who had failed the interview will be blacklisted to apply at PETRONAS for a term of 2 years? is it true? or just a rumors??

Nope, i set the high xp8tation bcoz of being called and interviewed by them. currently im wrking under one of well known iptas in msia and secured a very permanent position, it just that i want to change the environment and PETRONAS is a huge company as well as listed under the top companies to work for, that's the reason, i put the high xpcttaion on that. I'm not so intrsted to work with govt, bcoz the benefits that i get here is better than govt, surely PETRONAS, is better than othrs. But, it's ok, i still can try and do wish for my luck! Well, r u a PETRONAS worker?

Sorry, the truth is i have 7 years experiences in HR as Executive Officer (Diploma Holder), and i further my study in IIUM from 2008-2012, convo will be held in Nov 2013, my study was on part-time basis. Sorry, I know that my post might mislead all of you, hermm..anything else u want to know about me?

the truth is even the 1st class degree stdnt can't perform well..they only good on paper, indeed!!
