that said, as we were discussing idle stop time some pages ago, i want to add that it should be possible to get the maximum 3 minutes of idle stop... i read in the manual that idle stop is capped at a maximum of 3 minutes, and i routinely do experience that .. what i do is once I'm in idle stop, i turn the AC dial to off (AC fan can continue running), and that pretty much negates the cabin temperature aspect of the Idle stop start system.. but nothing else i do can make the idle stop last for more than 3 minutes, once 3 minutes is reached, the engine just starts and the A logo flashes three times. pretty cool. yes i like to sweat.

but you have to sacrifice so much to save what i suppose is approximately 30ml* of fuel in those 3 minutes.

I think the time cap is also to protect the battery from discharging too deep.

Luckily for you, the "leather" seats don't soak up as much sweat.

*extrapolated figures from sitting in a 2013 Volkswagen Polo with the heater on during winter... dash computer says consumption was 0.6l/hr.

p/s - what kind of leather is used for the seats and steering anyway? i seriously doubt it came from animals.

maybe higher capacity battery able to make the car idle longer, thus even further maximizing the regenerative braking efficiency of it. i reckon the battery on bezza adv is like 40Ah ones. or maybe lesser than that. no sure whether any settings needed for higher capacity battery though. since it is start stop system and theoretically there should be some setting within.

Were you braking hard? And/Or over sand/water/slippery surface?

Bezzas come with Anti Lock Brakes (ABS) that gives that sensation under heavy braking.

If you weren't, it could be your disc rotor.

If it's repeatable, you should get it checked out at an SC. The car is still new and that doesn't sound like normal behaviour.

is your normal braking a prolong ones? if yes, it might be due to warped disc rotor due to prolong braking thus overheated disc rotor. This is normal for 1st gen myvis, and might be happen to any cars with a thin disc rotor especially under prolong braking. I personally think that perodua disc rotors are quite thin though.

anyhow, just send it to sc and see what they says.

there is a feeling i always get when driving the bezza, don't know if you all feel the same..

i feel like i'm sitting very high up inside the car. and there is a lot of left-to-right sway when going over uneven roads. i mean, the ride is ok and all. just something only felt in the bezza.

i thought perodua cars seat position are more to higher side ever since Myvi era?
"left to right sway", do you mean the car feeling bumpy (like left and right side jumping around) or the car itself sway (sideways) left and right?

remember, it's a 950kg car, and the suspension design is task to taking the range of load from 950 - probably 1200kg. i bet is quite challenging to have a suspension that is soft enough when the car is light and not sagging when it is fully loaded.

i don't remember this sensation from the myvi. the feeling is more like sitting on a barstool in the car (like the last generation x-trail). probably because the seats are on the flat/firm side.

The car rides fine. it's the feeling of you (the driver) getting tossed around a bit.

also, because of the 950kg kerb weight, this car has pretty nice power-to-weight ratios.. and a nice pull from 110km/h-140km/h
