Japan eShop Mario Kart 8 = 6,458 yen = RM24x
US eShop Mario Kart 8 = 59.99 usd = RM24x

Japan Mario Kart 8 stated support language including English. Meaning buy from Japan eShop and play in English is possible?
*

Guys...as attached....is this "common" issue whenever you dock? sad.gif
*
hello. very common issue if you frequently dock undock your switch.

One way to prevent is install screen protector, or put a cloth between ur dock and switch

I just want to ask, is it true that in Japan the Nintendo Switch is only rm1200 (console only)?

=
Are there any methods to buy one and send it to Sabah,  and are the transport / freight charges exhorbitant? Taxes by Malaysia customs?
*
Yea. I got it for rm1200 in Japan. After tax deduction.

Maybe someone could answer ur 2nd question.

actually how much is an amiibo usually in malaysia? is it selling at a fixed price, or the price increases over time (due to rarity?). Is it possible to buy amiibos that were released in the past?
*
Amiibo's price can be as cheap as RM8 to as expensive as RM150, or even more. It depends on rarity. It is especially hard to be found in Malaysia since lack of demand.

Did you unbox it in Japan? Or you brought the whole sealed pack back here?

I'm thinking to get one when I go there next month most probably.  hmm.gif
*
Yeah definitely unbox then start gaming over in the Japan since I'm not selling it. Anyway, it's better to unbox if you are bringing it back to home country.

Well, I think you can give some try. According to what I noticed in Osaka and Tokyo, Bic camera might have high probably as compared to Yodobashi. Every Bic camera I visit seem to have more stock for every gaming stuff. just my thought smile.gif

If you are lucky like me, they might just release a extra stock for sales . Got it a day before lottery sales day in Bic Camera. Before tat, I was thinking of going for lottery sales...lol

You threw away the box?

Cause last time I bought like those Instax Camera etc and they were all sealed inside the plastic bag so that we could claim the tax refund at the airport and it was not a problem. So I'm wondering if that would be possible although I will highly unbox it to test if there's any defects. Hahaha
*
Nope. I kept the box in luggage.

The tax deduction was done on the spot at payment counter when I paid for the device. Just show your passport on the spot will do. No detailed checking is done here yet.

Before return flight , visit Tax counter in the Japan Airport to declare purchases (with tax deducted) . By right, everyone needs to declare every tax deducted purchases but I think most never actually does it. When I went there, the counter had no tourist declaring items. lol biggrin.gif

come to think of it, I never bothered with tax refund claim in the past when i went there. what was the requirement again? at least 10k yen in single receipt?
*
It was changed to 5000 Yen (excluding tax) or 5400 Yen (including tax).
