Hello Everyone!

I finally have the money, and I want the Switch.

Where should I buy it from? Is it region locked? What should I look out for? Please help!

Hello biggrin.gif

For the best Switch price, I'd go to the following website:

http://www.11street.my

Sorry that I can't give you the direct link, but just search "Nintendo Switch" and you should receive a bunch of results. You'd better hurry though because they're not selling it cheap for long(apparently there's an offer atm).

The system itself is not region locked, so you don't have to worry about getting the right games and importing is a breeze(thank you based Nintendo).

The only fair warning in particular, is to watch out for ridiculously marked up game prices, which are pretty common in the market right now. Just stick to the dealers you trust.

Hope that helps you out. On a side note though, what games are you planning on getting? Cuz lemme tell ya, Mario Kart 8 multiplayer is addicting. tongue.gif

Which to choose from?

Dragonball or Pokemon

I think it depends on which franchise you like more, ultimately. Both are really good games from what I've heard, although to a lesser extent over here in Malaysia since I doubt the multiplayer mode is gonna be much active in such a far away region unless you can deal with tremendous amounts of lag playing with people across the continent. Although I heard that Pokken's campaign mode is pretty bare bones so... I guess go with Dragonball if you want your money's worth.

im not sure how the latency will be for fighting game. so far playing mk8 online is good.

arm/splatoon i've not played so i don't know how. my account if playing online i'll play in us region. u guys choose which region?

Yeah, MK8 works great because it's server-based. While fighting games like the aforementioned are almost always peer-to-peer, which relies heavily on connection quality and general distance. Also, I think the matchmaking in most games is based on ping and various other networks related factors, so I don't think changing your account region means much, and even if it does, you won't be happy with the results.
