Usually something wrong with the mod, possibly juice ingress. Get the thing repaired ASAP IMHO.

Small, portable, can get today = Nano ler. It's available almost everywhere and works well enough. Also it's a lot cheaper than your budget if that means anything, but consequently it's not really as "well built" as a Lost Vape device (dat funky battery cover especially). If it's of any consolation it's easily self maintained though (four screws and open sesame), at least for small2 things.

Mentioning LV, there's the ePetite too, which is built like a tank (and priced as much). It's "only" DNA60 but actually it's better sorted than a 75 for higher ohm Vaping (the 75 has issues with high ohm builds). Also I know of at least a few BnMs that stocks the ePet so its not impossible to find locally.

Next, if you STILL want a 75 and the Nano isn't cutting it for you, there's also the S-Body Macro DNA75. Unfortunately I don't know anybody else stocking the thing besides FinestOunce so finding one locally might be a bit PITA.

Finally, if you can stretch a bit more and don't mind a little more bulk, there the LV Therion 75 (though personally I feel the 167 is of better value). There's the Therion 75C as well if you like a fancy smancy colour display... and a whole lot of other improvements over the stock 75, like better high ohm performance. But of course all the Therions are bigger than the 3 listed before it.

So yeah. Take your pick.

I had been playing around with vt75 nano and C1D2.. to me, I prefer C1D2 after few months using. The only flaw is... the paint tends to peal off after 1 month of rough usage. other than that, it's consider perfect with that sort of price. Vt75 nano is good only when u don't take out battery frequently... Mine one, I sold off recently after real pain in dealing with battery cover. 
Having said that, like what bro Eiraku mentioned above, if u can stretch a bit, there are plenty of choices available. having said that, I still rate my lost vape triade dna 250 the best mod in my collection now. so, with his budget of rm 500... plenty of choices really..

Actually, I must be one of the lucky few in regards to that Nano battery door lol. After that initial Noalox treatment, my door has not given me ANY problem so far... and this is with me screwing it off and on like twice every freakin day.

Getting the tab up to unscrew is still a pain, but I've gotten used to it.

As for the S-Body Torch, what's with that bulging USB port? Not really to my preference personally, though others might be okay with it.

And for the VT75C, well... I've got some rather unfortunate news. There's actually a well known hullabaloo with the VT75C right now. If you're planning to use it with 18650s, you should be fine if you're careful (don't overtighten anything). If you're planning to use it with 26650s, DON'T. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

But in short, right now they've got themselves a Note 7 situation with 26650s in the VT75C. There are some noise about H-Cig planning to release an accessory to help alleviate the issue, but apparently until then, using 26650s with the mod is a potentially dangerous Russian Roulette.

google around. ended up, there must be solutions IF there's really problem with it. like the nano case, I am aware of the problem when i bought it. but, just because I love the design, i still go ahead with it. end up, just gotta be gentle and soft hand when dealing with the battery part... the thing is, when time goes by, with sbody as a relative comparison, i get fed up and started to treat nano like sbody..
