Yes... P2a42 supports LTE_CA spectrum for all Malaysia telcos... But don't confuse between LTE_CA and VoLTE...

its B3+B7 right? not B3+B3 or B7+B7

U mean for SIM1 + SIM2...? Both SIMs supports LTE_CA but only one SIM can connect to LTE_CA while the other is HSDPA...so,

SIM 1 = LTE_CA, and
SIM 2 = HSDPA...
*
what I mean is that can this phone support 2CA when connecting to LTE?
2CA means 2 LTE bands (in Malaysia's case band 3 and 7) can co-exist together in order to achieve 4G+..
since you mention it does support CA

Sorry if unclear sweat.gif

Then, nope. Is there such a phone supports LTE_2CA...? So far, my P2 can detect LTE_CA but yet to detect LTE_2CA...but I'm still running the old S062 firmware/modem...perhaps those who have OTA to the latest S233 modem can detect LTE_2CA spectrum...(?)

Yes such kind phone exist and usually have LTE cat6 speed.. Heck most flagship devices now support 3CA..
Seeing gsmarena state it has 2CA makes me eager to know further bout this phone..

P2a42 has LTE Cat7...
Carrier Aggregation (CA) is 2x20MHz = LTE_2CA is supported

Source : Qualcomm Snap625 datasheet.

So, don't look down on Snap625... It's 14nm with latest modem...

The old 28nm Snap65x series...powerful but not future-proof...

Nice! thumbup.gif
support 2CA is a good thing, but the most important thing the right CA config..

3CA is from Snap808 and above (aka modem X10 and above...)

from this means that the cheapest 3CA phone in the market is maybe ZUK Z2.. it is using Snap820

Getting the right phone is one thing. The most important part is whether the ROM has been updated to the latest driver or not. Next, the telco towers have been upgraded to implement 3CA spectrum or not.

The ZUK Z2 is not having local/international ROM. Thus, ignore it. You may flash the Indian ROM but you might lost IMEIs later.

Better get local smartphone that has local manufacturer warranty and updated ROM to suit Maxis, Celcom, DiGi, U-Mobile, webe, etc.

Ok then ZUK Z2 will be forfeited tongue.gif
3CA is expected by 1st. July 2017 till the end of this year.. Celcom and Digi are known to have 3CA ready..
