QUOTE(saitong09 @ May 11 2017, 09:56 PM) I have been using SI for my celcom autodebit since 2011 for 5% rebate Cool.but that time haven't got CIMB CR card, lazy to change now But for my latest statement the 5% is not reflected in the statement. Is this normal? The 5% CB will be reflected on upcoming statement? |

I already kept this card into drawer since the announcement of no CB for government transaction.
Last transaction on MyEG for license renewal not entitled then i have no use for this card anymore. Now only celcom SI 2% used for this card, just because celcom offer 5% rebate if sign up for direct debit. |

QUOTE(laymank @ Aug 4 2017, 09:53 AM) Other online rebate cards also treat lazada as non-online transaction. At least other bank (PBB) will credit it back. The root cause is the category of Lazada's merchant account, not the credit card. For CIMB, they treat it as it's not their business. Therefore this is a strong reason to take action as mentioned by me previously |

(RM15+RM15) 4. ??? 5. Profit! For 2%, can consider the MBB Barcelona FC. Before this, only this card provide 2% for Auto debit. |

QUOTE(kart @ Oct 30 2017, 02:44 AM) Alright, you plan to keep your CIMB Cash Rebate card in the drawer for a year without using the card, and cancel your card one year after the first cancellation date. I remember one of your great advices, which is to cancel unattractive credit cards, so that we can become "new-to-bank" cardholders after 6 months, and enjoy better card sign-up benefits. So, I plan to cancel my CIMB Cash Rebate card, after my next statement date. |

QUOTE(kart @ Oct 30 2017, 10:59 AM) Yes, you raised a good point there. WE can hope that CIMB will benchmark MBB case (MBB2Cards)Correct me, if I am wrong. In terms of cash rebate, the only worthy credit card from CIMB is this CIMB Cash Rebate Card (till 31 October 2017). Since CIMB is downgrading the cash rebate of this card, there is no other worthy card from CIMB anymore. So, I may not have the need to apply for a new credit card from CIMB in the future. I do not suppose that CIMB will introduce a new credit card, that is worth our consideration. It is extremely unlikely that CIMB will reinstate the online cash rebate of this card, even with mass cancellation of this card. The benefits reinstated after 2 years+. |
