Guys, for the CIMB Cash rebate CC, 2% rebate for petrol is it combined with our online purchase and capped at RM30 per month??

Or is the 2% petrol rebate not included in the RM30 capped per statement on online purchases?

same answer to pbb quantum.

RM30 cb per card per month, irrespective to number of categories.

this is why u need to monitor ALL your spending vs categories, if you intend to maximize cb across various categories.
*
CIMB Cash Rebate works a bit differently than Quantum..

Quantum's is simpler that there's RM 30 cash back cap for both categories..

CIMB Cash Rebate has a cap of RM 50 for the categories that earn 2 - 5% CB (E-Commerce, Petrol, Groceries, Standing Instructions), but there is a sub-limit of RM 30 for E-Commerce. There is no cap for 0.2% CB that you get from other categories, and 10% CB on finance charges.

For example, if you spend RM 1000 on Lazada, and RM 100 on petrol, you will get RM 32 CB (RM 30 from E-Commerce, RM 2 from petrol). If you spend RM 100 on Lazada and RM 1000 on petrol, you will get RM 25 (RM 5 from E-Commerce, RM 20 from petrol).

I also got a Visa Infinite sent to me a few weeks back. I'm wondering if this is acceptable practice?

It's not a facility that we applied for. And what if the card landed on the wrong hands, and somehow someone managed to activate the card?

CIMB give it without based on your annual income?
is your credit limit upgraded as well?
*
Cannot remember whether my income (at the time I applied for the CR card) was sufficient for the VI, nor what was the Credit Limit offered (letter already in the dustbin tongue.gif)..

I didn't provide them any updated documents or applied for the VI.. They just sent it to me..

Hi, is anyone have the CIMB signature card. When you received the card, is it supposed to be like below:
http://www.ameerzachery.com/2011/05/cimb-visa-signature.html
or
just the letter with the card attached only?
*
if the contents they sent me were as per your URL, I would've considered keeping the card..

they sent me more than a letter with the card attached.. there were 2 plaza premium lounge vouchers, which looked like receipts where they used a dot matrix printer to print some details on a paper with some pre-printed design.. there was also a small booklet promoting the benefits of the card, but that's about it.

Oic. Actually this card I asked them to send for "second time". First time they send out the card when my application get approved but i'm not receive it, probably the courier service lost it.
So this time they just send me the card as a "replacement", nothing else attached except the card. dry.gif
Regarding the 2 plaza premium lounge vouchers, is any expired date on that and only the principal card member allow to use right?
*
Yup.. there's an expiry of 1 year from issue date.. and according to the T&Cs printed behind, it's non-transferable..

damn, not worth it

Hence why a lot of people has been calling up to cancel..

I think too many requests to cancel until they're no longer offering the RM 30 incentive not to cancel.. I already called to cancel and they didn't even offer the incentive..

Personally, I'll just cancel.. then at least if got cards with better benefits, can apply again and be entitled for "new to bank" gifts/rewards..

Celcom auto-debit for some users here.

I'm also using Celcom, but have changed my Auto Debit to SCB Gold. I still get the auto billing rebate of 5%. Any particular reason to stick to CIMB CR?

yes. had the same experience.

on another note, anybody successfully transfered the cashback to their savings account? since not gonna use this anymore but not canceling.
*
I accidentally paid my last statement twice (due to auto transfer) and managed to transfer the balance (+CB) into my SA. But it was done when I canceled my card. No point keeping it if I don't use it. Wait 6 months can be entitled for new customer gifts/promos.
