Quick question on preauthorization hold...

Late last week I used my CIMB credit card at a restaurant and, on the 3rd of December it was posted (i.e I can see it on CIMB Clicks). However, my available balance has further reduced by the exact same amount charged the the restaurant. It seems that the pre-auth hold is not released and the posting (settlement by merchant) reduces the available balance again. Usually settlement does not reduce the balance by the same amount again.

Anyone encountered this before?

Called CIMB up and they said merchant did a manual settlement hence the auth hold didn't fall off automatically.
