It's 2% for HZ or 5% for SH.

Anyway, I will make complaint to CIMB for double standards despite same merchant - Taobao. They are obviously online transactions.

I guess they can't blame it on merchant.. online transaction has no MCC to identify, it is the bank system captured the transaction source code and classified as online transaction.. if this is to bring up to BNM, the bank is answerable and not merchant. Also, Lazada and Taobao is very common online purchase platform which the bank cannot deny..

That's why. I questioned why Taobao SH is entitled, what's the difference? He answered me, I'm not the first customer to call to complain about this and CIMB can't do anything. It's posted by merchant.

How on earth Taobao HZ can be tagged under groceries? doh.gif

CS can't do anything until someone bring the case to BNM, then it will escalate to product team to investigate n correct their system.. CS is lazy to escalate the issue since their system shown otherwise, n it is ridiculous to ask the customer to check with merchant..

why don't they tackle this and solve permanently
image how we can swipe grocery in china but physically in malaysia?
must be online
else is fake card - scam case
should refund full amount

Those who not aware of the cash back, bank will proceed as per usual to their client. In fact, it is not much different unless it cost more to purchase the merchandise.
