If you just want a phone straight away on and use , goto a MI authorized dealer and get a official Malaysia sealed set (SD625).
it will have OTA updates and you dont have to worry about ROM being customized and not able to get updates.

If you know how to flash ROMs and things, MTK x20 will be more fun to own because processor is faster and you can find it cheaper , and it is more "tweaker friendly" (no need to unlock bootloader). Flash in a Global/China Official ROM it is as good as new phone with OTA updates all working

Actually If I saw something in Aliexpress , mostly he will have stock and the price also not bad considering the shipping time and uncertainty of the goods sending from China. I usually get something from him every month , sometimes got 2nd hand phone that need a case or Temper Glass, which is quite urgent and lazy to go shopping for it here in Kuching. So far his parcel packing is top notch. Now I have spare bubble wrap to pack my things too if I need to ship something.

Do RN4 Snapdragon set no matter their memory and storage share the same ROM?

Just wondering since the 4GB+64GB version just got it just now...

ya , SD version from Urban Republic. No black color so choose grey. They are the official Service Center too here in Kuching. Damn kedekut , no TGlass , no free gift or anything.

Maybe they just get them from india and repack it. India has it right? for 2 months or so..

This Sd625 is really save battery leh. 100% 7:30am put in locker , come home to bring it to install Temper Glass come home around 7PM battery at 97% . only WIfi open , No SIM card , did not use it for the day.

My RN3 MTK show 91% . Same locker , same duration, din use it also.

Yup. The green color in Pokemon Go is so washed out. It's night and day compared to Samsungs AMOLed screens.

But for the price. I don't dare or need to complain. If not too demanding screen is OK.

Redmi Pro is using China Made AMOLed. Colors are nicer than RN4.

I used my RN4 to play Pokemon Go. MY set also. Handles quite well. No worse than samsung or other Mi phones. I like to test new phones to plsy Pokemon GO since it is a demanding game that uses almost all of a phones core function.

lowest price is maybe 649 . Ordereded last week 2nd of May .

Just turned it on and immediately got update to MIUI V8.2.4.0

The Pink color is Qualcomm set, available in China as RN 4X . Personally confirmed in "About Phone" section : Octacore is Qualcomm, Deca Core is MTK.

But now I check price up to RM724 already .

Good also for us consumer . No need worry about dodgy ROMs from China telco. Official ROM is good . But I prefer China Official , more things to play around with. Especially themes , wallpapers and fonts.

Now ppl can finally keep their Mi phones for long time instead of feeling uneasy and wary of where their personal info and data is going when using those unofficial ROM .

If black 699 for 64GB I am on it, I dont mind MTK BTW

i Think the screen cover that comes with the phone either have wording on them or is matte (see pic) , better ask the shop to stick the SP for you & make sure it is not like the second pic.

Just to add. The "floating edge" TG on the second Pic (from Facebook)... I got same "floating edge" type from CKYStore ... i bought 2 and they send me two like that . Moral of story ... go to shop and buy the Screen Protector / Temper Glass straight ask them to apply on the spot . If edge floating can reject ,
