i actually still keep the 3 pieces of sp and i will apply it later and let you know. casing i use normal custom tpu casing from taobao.

those claim to fit both is usually bad fit, tried two and both is trash. just buy from shopee since u can ask the seller for sure.

no, the 8 hours thing no longer relevant since full screen smartphone become a thing..
you can buy from lazada if you want since you have SV. just choose from taobao collection or something.

btw i dont have gps issue. gps still locks instantly like my last rn4.

i will still wait 3 days and flash to custom rom though, cant stand MIUI.

flashing custom rom will not void warranty. we are using official method to unlock and flash the phone. unless thy can prove that the phone damage is related to you rooting (eg overclocking)

you need to apply to unlock bootloader for your mi account via official website, and wait for the confirmation (i done that already, one account only need to apply once)
then bound your device to mi account, then you need to wait 72 hours before you can use the mi unlock tool. its the same for every unlockable mi device.

this is a good one. i just applied it following the instruction video the seller gave and it fits perfectly.. one or two small bubble disappears automatically after few hours. but you have to literally apply it perfectly. i spoiled one and its not those old rm5 plastic protector.. its almost like gel and you can stretch it for a bit.

DAE notice the default icon is animated when you press home? the setting gear icon has a nice spinning animation, and for the gallery is sun rising. is it been there for a long time or is it a miui9 thing?

definitely enough. but why stop there. if you plan using it for at least 2 year then the rm250 is worth adding. the extra 32gb storage will comes in handy.

my current 32gb set bought from a lazada seller still cant be unlocked after 3 days binding the account.
keep showing account not bind to device at the unlock tool.. though i already bind a thousand times with success.

weird because my previous 64gb set can be unlock smoothly.. the only error msg i got is the 3 days wait message.

probably because of different country version? though both set is EIN sealed set, the 64gb box is english, 3pin charger vs the 32gb i got now which is indonesian language box and 2 pin charger.

yup. pretty sure i did everything correctly. another forummer was facing the same exact problem too, and all he did is wait it out. do nothing and try again after few days.

wait for big sale like 12.12. usually will have voucher code that discount rm70-80. i got mine from that store for rm509. could get 499 but i missed the code.

finally successfully unlocked the bootloader after waiting 3 days. straight flash twrp-aospextended-magisk-enablecamera2api-install gcam. now i'm all set

the sot is fine for me now. since i only use it for spare phone..

2h 30 mins SOT within 6 days+ use without charge. its nice not having to charge it everyday..
wifi on / gps off / sync on all time. only use it to check emails, reply whatsapp and use some shopping apps.
aospextended 7.1.2 with evie launcher. brightness 30%. pretty good i'd say.
