most play avi only. not many use rm or rmvb. moreover, rm and rmvb need more processing power if not mistaken.

So far none can play RM/RMVB. It's not problem with processing power taken or resources taken. It's because of copyrights. Realnetworks does not want to sell their technology or their copyright fee too high. It's like file format in digital cameras. RAW format only exist in more expensive DSLR or pro-sumer series. Other normal DC all only got JPEG format. It's because JPEG is currently still free from copyright fee and RAW need to pay copyrights. FYI HD Players can play DIVX, XVID, WMV, WMA, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP3, JPG formats.
