So I recently moved houses and my new house comes with a built in Ariston Hotpoint, for which, somehow, the manual doesn't say anything but warning of usage.

I read a lot about it online and went ahead with the induction pots I owned before since it's a flat top. I tried cooking twice but both the times from one of my induction pots I started getting a funny smell. After that I stopped.

Now I want to know if anything knows the right kind of pots to be used and if the smell is actually for using the wrong pan.

The cookware is made of "Maifan stone". Extremely expensive in Malaysia.
