Guys, my pup is very active, he likes to bites on everything he sees, from shoes to furnitures even when i bought him some toys to bite on he'll tend 2 get bored on those toys and find some new stuff 2 bite sweat.gif
Currently i ignore wad his doing and let him do until he's tired and go asleep. Is this ok? I mean let him bite on things will it injured his jaw or teeth?

Naturally puppies like to play. Since he got no one to rough play with him, he bored loh so go chew things. It is natural for puppies to chew coz it excercises his jaw bone and muscles.

But if he chews furniture and shoes .... bad lah.

If you ignore and let him do those things, it will become a bad habit in the long run.

Whenever you notice your pup is chewing something that is not a toy, quickly take your pup away from that area. Say no everytime you push him away. Then bring him far away and give him his chew toys. If he starts to play and chew his toys, praise him and play with him.

Yea puppies like to play alot, sometimes when i got some free time i'll play with him, normally he like when ppl rubbing his tummy, eveytime i did this he just stay there and let me rub it biggrin.gif

I got try clap my and and say NO loudly but it seems he's ignoring it sweat.gif sweat.gif So now everytime he chew on a shoe i'll pick him up and put him far far away frm the shoes haha... but kinda sad though coz he'll start crying doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Dogs got alot of sign language.... my dad bought a book for me on dog body language, very interesting to read.

Anyway, you must be stern. Cry then let it cry loh. ahaha... it must learn that you are the boss. When it chews or does anything wrong. Say "NO" loudly, then take the pup away from the fun thing he is doing.

Im stern, but now when i yell NO loudly he tends to ignore it sweat.gif

Btw i notice that he is super active leh always wanna bite ppl at first i tot he's just eager to go out, but when i take him go out for a walk he keep searching for dry leaf or sometimes rubbish and eat them, i hv to forcefully open his mouth and take it out. Everytime he did that i say no loudly but nothing happens.

Can he b sick? Coz his behaviour only happens suddenly which really makes me puzzled rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

My puppy is now having erm... teething period i guess, coz gets agitated very easily and likes to bite on things even myself sad.gif But there are times when he's very nice and will not bite. I did some research on this and found that tis is normal but it'll last up 2 1 year. shocking.gif

And to make things worse since i know nothing bout dogs i dont hv cages and toys to keep him company. Im planning to get some toys for him 2 chew on coz the previous chewable bones cant get his attention.

I need help from dog owners who lives in Butterworth, Penang to give me info bout shops that sells various toys for puppies. Coz i cant find it in carrefour or other shopping center.
