I have used the RJ11 port to connect with the regular TM supplied phone. It does work but the modem will switch to 3G mode to make a voice call possible. However, the data speed will be compromised, slowing down considerably. It will switch back to LTE mode but I am not sure how long it will take to go to LTE. I would reboot the modem to get back to LTE mode. Based on testimony from the South African broadband forum the Huawei B593 will take more than 10 minutes to switch to LTE mode.

well, if the LTE signal is considerably strong (4 out of 5 bars), the modem will switch back to LTE within seconds after voice call end.

My sister will post back my SIM card to me on Monday since I'm not going back to hometown in coming weeks. Can't wait to try it with my E5186 once I get my SIM. biggrin.gif Router is already in Malaysia but I'm still in overseas. laugh.gif

Can also use this SIM when I go to SG in two to three weeks time. rclxms.gif

I know why digi encouraged people to purchase SIM card online . Delivery may take up to 1 week and they start to charge you the bill since they day they posted ! Means they are actually earning while your item is transiting

Well should do an upgrade from prepaid then, as the existing SIM card will be activated within hours
