Am using this huawei e8278. So far am happy with the result and portability. Bought it RM160. Pair it with power bank when outside and USB power source when indoor.

I do carry a bag. So no biggie. Plus my power bank is bigger battery than any mifi in the market for sure. U can plug into car, power bank, computer or any USB sources. This device is less heat too.bear in mind this is LTEcat4 speed. Not yet LTE-A

if u sign up new line, sim should arrive pre-activated,..

this router only up to LTE Cat 4 150Mbps,.

try to look for LTE CAT 6 in order to enjoy LTE-A/ 4G+ faster 4G connection if you are in LTE-A coverages

Used older version of mydigi app.

sis you can flash GoldenOrb 2017-04-15 from here http://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/downloadsp.html,

flash it to your tplink mr3420 v1. and force 4G only from inside the rooter.

am using it with my old S3 LTE Cat 3 100Mbps usb tethering to my both tplink mr3420 V2 & MR3040 too..

this goldenOrb work amazing. and also can charge your usb device in the same time too

i think lock to 4G only is applied to modem.. smartphone wise u need to either root and install force 4G app/band like network signal guru, or use short code to enter band selection in certain phone,..

under the goldenOrb 192.168.1.1 -> modem -> Miscellaneous -> Cellular Mode

phone wise u need to root it and use network signal guru or use shortcode for certain brand phone to enter 4G only,. or custom rom major of it does come with it..

Yeah E5186 powerful enough In LTE-A area....

Digi working fine here. Most probably your area is congested or Digi is refarming the frequency..

Me in penang here very stable. Tweaking with network signal guru app in my old S3 I9305. Manually select band 3 or band 7 LTE . Different area different band

To use that network signal guru your phone need to root. And give root permission. Then click three dot on right top . Select band locking then LTE and click either band 3 or 7. Test your speed from there and swap to other band to see any difference.

Been to penang road cititel area, farlim, Tanjung takong, Tanjung bungah, island plaza junction around 40+Mbps... Too. Some area band 3 while other band 7

Yes network signal guru is rooted app

quite amaze with digi infinite 150,.

speed still amazing even in day time or peak hour

suprisingly the phone is not hot,.. plus i add in zerolemon extra juices battery for it,.. easy to hotspot whole day when i am out,..

old phone cat3 LTE 100mbps still kicking butt here

or u can get a cheap alcatel pixi 4 phone to hotspot,. easier when u need to make phone calls

yes, both tplink MR3420 V2 and MR3040 V2 is flashed with goldenOrb,. can usb tethering it over to wifi out to whole house
