I got confused cos the phone shows XX M/s.. so I do not know what M/s means. But fortunately kind souls like you helped cleared things up. There are converters online where I can easily use now know that M/s is actually MB/s. Once again, thank you very much.

It seems that there are 2 models with the same model number. So earlier there is mentioned that e5172 cannot make normal voice calls is not correct? Just want to confirm and make a decision today. Thanks.

From the clue you gave, I also discovered that B310 is 2015 model, while E5172 is 2013 model. Since the price is the same, might as well go for the newer model B310. Thank you very much.

If you have the right equipment that allows calls, you can just plug in any landlin phone such as TM phone and use. No configuration.

Well, in kuching for the past 3 days I have been geting frequent disconnect, or zero speed. Both up and download are zero all the time. In order to get data connection again, I have to put into flight mode and then turn back on data. But it is useless... in the next 5 min the same thing can happen again. Went out, drive around, still the same.

Just got disconnected again... Tried on 2 devices... also the same. I have already made my complaint. But the auto reply says they are congested with too many enquiries and expect a late/slow reply. Not sure about others... but at least I am not able to get connected. If I insert celcom sim, there is no such issue, everything seems normal.

Great idea.. after setting to 3G only, so far not yet have any disconnection... If really 4G is the problem with my frequent disconnection, roughly what does this indicates? Previously was still ok. Even yesterday morning I had 16mbps... But this disconnection started about 3 days ago... and it is getting worst each day.

Sing4G is slightly cheaper, but of course you want to consider shop location as well. One is in PJ the other in Johor.

Pundek TM... after my fren follow my decision to go cut his TM, the TM team leader there suddenly take interest in his termination submission, and counter offer a latest latest latest just out oven plan (so they say), called YB Unifi for 10mbps at rm129 without setop box or free calls. Free calls is rm149 (meaning same like previous VIP10 lar) Diu,... This is fiber optic and the team leader says this is special offer, even my staff here also don't know and cannot offer...

In my heart I was thinking, this is a big company or small company? Make such counter offers, they obviously never learn the maxshit story.

Unifi lite is cooper wire... check already, TM told me I cannot have it, cos my area hv pure unifi. That's why I moved to DG. Today morning, TM also confirm my fren's area the same, got pure unifi already available, so he also cannot apply Unifi lite. That's why just now he also go to terminate TM and going get DG. Only thing is now TM counter offer him fiber optic unifi.

Then I do not know what game TM is playing. Both me and my fren, our neighbours have unifi 50mbps. So I was denied unifi lite when I requested. They gave me option of other streamyx package, the 2, 4 and 8mbps, OR pay rm200+ with GST for pure unifi. So last week I hv terminated.

I went with my fren to do the same thing, but now they offer him this, also after we checked with tm if he can get unifi lite first or not. TM being really cute here.

Thank you to everyone here who have been very patient and helpful. I joined the B310 family as well. I like to say that inserting the sim card directly into phone and tab is different from using modem. The modem gets me better speed, like most ppl here report. And sharing also more stable. Sharing hotspot from phone is just not the same. You will need a modem to find out for yourself.

Tmr only will tweak the modem to B3+ B7. Today use and enjoy first.

My personal observation. I hv b310, but signal could be 3-5 bar. It does not fluctuate all the time, but random inspection shows sometimes it is 3 bars, other times 4, or 5 bars. Speed regardless is not entirely dependent on the signal bars. I could have 5 bars but perhaps due to congestion speed will be low or sometimes get disconnected. Have to disconnect and reconnect from admin page. Then things are back to normal. On the other spectrum, I could be enjoying 20-30mbps on a 3 bar signal strength. Nonetheless, all better than TM.

Do take note this DG plan is a no contract plan.. why? Maybe DG hoping for many new comers to give them cash RM300 upfront and later unhappy with the plan will leave, such as due to congestion etc... That is why I go for B310 first... Unless, money to you is just a numbers game.

I tried this, the performance is not comparable to using an actual LTE modem.
