QUOTE(bronx8889 @ Apr 23 2017, 06:36 PM) Found the answer already: found interesting discussion here: http://community.digi.com.my/t5/Network/Re...d-4G/td-p/19022Anything from Cat 4 upwards supports the faster LTE Advanced networks (also known as LTE-A, 4G , 4GX, 4.5G or 4G LTE ULTRA) which are now becoming standard around the world Read more at http://trustedreviews.com/news/what-is-cat...vshs3QAqmuER.99 even if your device support connection of Cat12 (600/150 Mbps) LTE-A with 3CA it does not necessarily will support 4G Digi+.. what a bummer so this thing is a hit or missed |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 23 2017, 08:16 PM) This guy's issue is definitely lies on his phone. It supports B3 and B7 doesn't mean it can work together. Layman term: The device must support B3+B7 to get 4G+ here, if it's B3+B3 or B7+B7 will not get 4G+ here. Some countries use this frequency but not Malaysia. Hence, it's very important to get the correct variant to get 4G+ work here. For e.g., E5786 must be 32a and E5186 must be 22a. E5776 is not a 4G+ model. QUOTE(prosibu @ Apr 23 2017, 08:34 PM) I've found out Redmi 4X @ RM680 is using sd 435 that support 4G+ cat6.. then again will it work? |

now I think its whether manufacturer of these phone has enabled 4g+ on their phone or not..
for example mi max Malaysia sets does have band 5 for webe while ap sets are not available but you can unlock it yourself.. maybe its time Digi to advertise available phone that supports and which one does not so buyers later won't regret buying none-4g+ phone that thought to be one.. |

QUOTE(wanttobuylaptop @ Apr 24 2017, 01:06 AM) For s6 and note 5 pls update to android 7.0, will show 4g+. this confirms that phone manufacturer has to make options to enabled 4g+ on their phone thru patches or rom updates..Without update will still connect 4g just no logo. Can check via *#0011# select stack 1 and see CA active. so those from ap sets and phones that use unofficial rom could be in trouble if there is no support from their respective manufactures.. |

QUOTE(wanttobuylaptop @ Apr 24 2017, 03:03 AM) yes, because it require interband CA for 3+7 to work in malaysia. mi 5 with 3ca also did not manage to connect to lte-a.. so there is no guarantee that 3ca will work here nevermind 2caand OP3T only support 2CA. in the future more and more phone will support 3 CA. Therefore long as two of the band combination are 3+7, there will not be issue to conenct to LTE-A at malaysia. if anyone is purchasing a phone only support 2CA, do check beforehand if the phone support band 3+7. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 24 2017, 11:42 AM) It goes back to the type of CA. If it's B3+B3, no luck here. If it's B3+B7 then can get 4G+ here, all our telcos are using it. need to clarify with seller before buying.. or ask seller to test sim whether support or not.. for a peace of mind just buy certified/tested mifi/router and use it hahaha I'm from a MNC telco vendor by the way. QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 24 2017, 12:38 PM) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dev...th_LTE_Advanced during transition from 3G to 4G people don't even care bout this all 2ca or 3ca.. its whether support 4g or not.. Refer to this for LTE-A devices but again always check the variants to be compatible with our networks before purchasing. nowdays to get best speed of 4g+ everybody already pening |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 24 2017, 09:42 PM) Telcos will assign tower bandwidth according to density. So, it doesn't matter for population. If only this also applied to unifi.. My friends shop located in one of busy place with many housing area near it does not have unifi.. The sad part is that one shop 100m apart have unifi while his shop does'ntHigh population, will get better speed to cater to all. Lower population, it will be slower as costs factor needs to be considered as well. |

QUOTE(guciguci @ Apr 24 2017, 11:11 PM) Now using it normal speed 10m, peak around 3m (10 - 12 night), everybody in my house happy, the main problem is if i cut the home phone my mum will blame because she is the only one who using house phone even she have Hand phone, if you buy the right router just connect your landline telephone to rj11 port and it will function just like a landline telephone.. just that it is a mobile number instead of landline number like 03-something This post has been edited by Neomax3: Apr 24 2017, 11:25 PM |

QUOTE(bronx8889 @ Apr 25 2017, 08:03 AM) wonder why this happened found out that A3600d is using band b1 and b3 for lte.. so means that your phone is connected to b3 is it? seems very fast1) Speedtest via MR6400 on laptop (Digi Best Prepaid, on RM8 unlimited high speed internet add-on) *the router is just next to me* [attachmentid=8762069] 2) Speedtest on Lenovo A3600d (Digi Postpaid 238) [attachmentid=8762070] speed limitations? or the cheap Lenovo is superior than the MR6400 lolz.. |

QUOTE(bronx8889 @ Apr 25 2017, 10:27 AM) I think so.. How to force MR6400 to use band 3? MDMA? Spent so much on it, only to be dwarfed by a cheap phone.. if I'm not mistaken MDMA is best with Huawei modem only.. I once try it using ZTE and Sierra modem but not a lot can do compared to Huawei modem.. correct me if I'm wrongMR6400 is using Qualcomm Atheros QCA9531.. dunno MDMA can support it or not This post has been edited by Neomax3: Apr 25 2017, 10:32 AM |

Should be okay raynman if you stream videos or youtube a lot, use fast.com to do the benchmark rather than speedtest.. like your setup.. end user experience using devices thru wifi |
