If this project is approved, imagine how many car parks needed, then Tesco Midah will no longer give full free parking......

They want to make two office towers 50 storey high? What a monstrosity. The Holmes is already taking over the skyline and it's nowhere near finished.
Nearby Wisma Zelan at Bdr Tun Razak is only 24 storey also got problem parking. But at least in front of the building across the road can park. Build here cannot imagine the traffic and parking condition. As a resident of Bdr Tun Razak and frequent shopper at Tesco, I sincerely hope this project will not go on. DBKL needs to think about what impact this will have to the people living in the area and not think about how they can profit only. |

QUOTE(HarpArtist @ Apr 9 2017, 09:13 PM) sure boss lets continue. build a flyover connecting here to ekc mall. now we hv integrated condos hotel mall mrt and offices. Here is already very famous of building flyovers from East to West, from North to South, almost all the eight directions, there to here, from here to there... Look at the roundabout there, the elevated MRT lane is crossed over from top by elevated highway. I will upload the photo once I took it... lol |

Will Tesco move out from here or to be taken by other?
Rumour has been flying around that Tesco will "close" their biz operations here in MY. If Tesco is indeed moving out from Taman Midah, then this large piece of land may be used to build monster commercial towers and mall? |

^ Nah, Tesco already address that last year Sept. They not moving out of Malaysia.
The land where Tesco Cheras is on... dunno about that. I am not keen on them removing this Tesco branch, and I think this branch does make a lot of money so I think there is not much merit in closing it down. But then again you can never tell. Might happen like what you said. I hope not though. |

Tesco seems to be struggling to gain "positive returns" even in this outlet, as seen some large portion space has been rented out to Mr. DIY, etc. F&B is doing fairly OK. Some kiosks also no longer there, surprisingly Tea Live opens at Level 1. |

Some kiosks also no longer there, surprisingly Tea Live opens at Level 1. When the proposed commercial is in placed, people will choose to park at Tesco Midah for free instead of parking at this commercial building. This impacts Tesco parking, that is not able to accommodate customers. Similar situation is seen in Tesco Puchong. Tesco Puchong later imposed parking fee. Since then empty parking lots of Tesco Puchong is "ample"I hope not to see Tesco Midah imposing parking fee. Speaking of Tesco Midah business, l observed almost every Sunday it is full of people. Tealive opens but Sharetea closed. |
