Hello Sifu's in the forum.

Anyone can enlighten me on what factors can cause a new engine (6-7 month old - ~5000Km) to knock while accelerating and climbing up a ramp ? Already tried RON97 and Knock Sensor changed under the car warranty but my issue is still there. Anyone can help me to "Advice" the Service Advisors on where to look for cos hey are hopeless when it comes to troubleshooting and understanding customer's complains. (I'm talking about the Service Center at Proton HQ)
Thank you for reading.

Campro has inherent low speed knock that cannot be solved , but it does no damage , my gen2 has had thst for over 13 years already , no hole in piston yet

Typical problem with proton.

Their CFE engine with the turbo... is even worse. car cheap cheap buy ya ? somemore with turbo ... vroom vroom ?

Have problem and the Maintenance cost like a crossover/suv , Engine overheating and knocking sounds. I think few months ago there are news for it about overheated with the same engine

Somehow good to know this. As similarly with TS my saga Campro vvt engine has engine rattling. Went to proton Cose and they said it's normal.

I understand my campro vvts internal parts are tough as it is similar to the ones used in the campro turbos. So some low speed knock won't cause any harm to the pistons/valves/whatever.

Also yes campro knocking is a norm during gen2 era. So many years and proton did not solve it... Really what the fuck are the engineers in the engine department doing?

It is , they tried to upgrade the ecu to fix it but it never helped , so just let it be and fortunately has never had an issue at all

Always in parking lots is most noticeable

Hmm no idea, with vvt and cvt , the Campro knock issue should have been solved ,

Inherently all Campro have low speed knock

That's is my worry too. I'm afraid if this does any damage to the engine.

If they have checked everything related to ignition, could it be mechanical failure such as low oil pressure or faulty lifter? Very unlikely though.
