I'm looking to book for hotel rooms around the area of seberang jaya from 11th to 13th of MAy 2017. However, most rooms are either too expensive, too far or the review isn't satisfactory.

I was looking at Airbnb [seberang jaya and butterworth area], the price were much more reasonable [for the entire house/apartment] and it's clean with some good reviews.

However, this would be the first time experiencing with Airbnb.

Can I know how reliable/safe is airbnb? Anything I should keep in mind/consider when booking with airbnb?
