Backup whatsapp history before uninstall from Android and you need a special app to transfer the messages to IOS later.

THIS. everything else can be transferred very easily (especially if you use google contacts, gmail, photos, keep etc). but while you can still use the same whatsapp account, transferring the chat history requires a paid app. im wondering if anyone here can share a free way to do it? iPhone to android can be done for free

Are you seriously? Transferring the chat history requires a paid apps? Seriously? Holy Moly.

For Android Version of Whatapps, i can manually backup and then uninstall the apps after that. Upon reinstalling, i will get a prompt on it said backup detected. So you just click Yes to proceed download the backup content. That easy.

But if IOS rly like that.. well kind of disappoint me

Ios got backup whatsapp chat to google right?
So backup your chat then restore it back to your whatsapp on your android using that google account

Also, backing up is gonna be hassle for android since there's not really a tool that backup everything like with itunes

iOS can only backup and restore WhatsApp from iCloud.

Android can only backup and restore WhatsApp from Google Drive and Local.

so transferring iOS > iOS or Android > Android is very simple.

iOS > Android is possible for free, but quite complicated. Need to extract the backup file from the iPhone, download an app on the Android phone, transfer, restore, yadda yadda. But works great.

Android > iOS i have no fkn clue how to do it without paying for an app. Experimented with the trial version and it seems to work well, but only limited to 20 messenges IINM. cant justify the app's price considering most likely it's a one time use thing.
