A short review:
For 1600 points, you get a game that provides 8 to 10 hours of gameplay entertainment - provided if you complete all the races, hijacking, gang wars, friends quest and side quest. The main quest line itself is about 15 ~ 20 missions long and the pacing could have been better because just when it got good, the game gets done with. However, featuring new comic stand ups (Frankie Boyle), TV shows, radio segments, music, weapons, vehicles and areas - the total package is still undeniably good. Storywise, it ties in very well with the main storyline, giving you an insight of some of the more colorful characters not previously explored or explained from Nico Bellic point of view. Controls feel tighter and riding a bike feels much better compared to the original game due to the fact that your butt is almost always glued to the bike unless the most severe of collisions occur. All in all, a worthy purchase. Pros: 1. Improved controls 2. More in-game environment content such as music, radio shows, tv show etc. Cons: 1. Mission pacing could have been better, it's over just when things get interesting resulting the feeling of the game being too short. |
