They charge you higher fee for the amount you pay to your bank. Also, your credit card has cash back limit per month. In the end, the cash back you receive cannot even cover the additional charges you pay to the sellers.

Apart from the high commission the sellers charge, you may face the risk of non-payment or late payment, resulting in late payment charges and interest from bank, as well as bad record affecting CCRIS. It is acceptable to use Shopee for utility bill payment, but for home loan and hire purchase loan payment, do not take risk just because of small cash back.

I have already stopped using Shopee, after I checked with PBB customer service that all my transcations with Shopee from 1st May onwards (including last week and 2 week ago) only earn points instead of 6% cash.

Thanks for the update. I guess I have to patiently wait for an official email reply by PBB, as PBB telephone customer service officer simply gave me an aswer that all my transactions via Shopee from 1st May 2017 onwards are not entitled to 6% cash back.

Week 12 RM50 cash back received. Last fulfilled transaction (8th) was made on Wednesday, 11.55pm.

Are you sure you could earn much by paying mortgage through PBB cards? Provided you have many PBB credit cards, otherwise you can't reap the benefit of paying mortgage through PBB cards. I glanced through Shopee bill payment sellers but there is only one seller providing mortgage payment service. That seller charges very high commission rate at 6% for RM50 payment. In addition, based on my experience, Shopee allows only 2 purchases from the same seller for the same item using the same credit card in 24 hours. That means you can only pay maximum 4 times (RM50 x 4 = RM200) on Monday and Tuesday (assuming cash back quota finishes on Wednesday).

It's so true. I guess more people will be given RM20 this time. RM20 cash back will mostly take up the quota of RM30k. Those swipe late for 10x may just get RM20 in the end.

I urge everyone to thoroughly check the points stated in the statement every month. There are many errors and miscalculations in the points. This always happens to me, almost every month whenever there is a refund for online transaction.
