My questions are about Public Bank Quantum MasterCard and Visa Credit Cards.

1) Is there any condition that I need to fulfil, to get annual fee waiver, such as minimum swipes in a year? Or, this annual fee waiver is just given without me doing anything at all?

2) Is the eligibility for 5% Online & Dining cashback based on strictly MCC only? Does the description of the transaction also affect the eligibility for 5% online cashback?

3) Is there minimum spending to get 5% Online & Dining cashback, if I use Public Bank Quantum MasterCard credit card?
Suppose that I spend just RM 1.00 in a single transaction (either online or dining), through my statement month. Will I get RM 0.05 of cashback on my statement date?

4) What are available statement dates that I choose?

5) Will the bank send the credit cards to me via post, or do I have to collect them in a designated Public Bank branch?

6) Since the cashback is credited on statement date, can I pay statement balance minus cashback, on the payment due date?

7) Is there an option to automate the sending of PDF credit card eStatement to our e-mail address?

I want to clarify that I have not applied for Public Bank Quantum Credit Cards. Once I have fully understand the card features, then I shall apply for the cards.

I did read the first few posts in this thread. I just want to confirm that I do not need to do anything, in order to get free annual fee.

For Maybank credit cards, the lowest amount of the eligible transaction is RM 1.00, whereby 5% cashback worth RM 0.05 is given. Swipe anything below RM 1.00, and no cashback or Treatspoints will be given.

I am not sure whether similar restriction is imposed for Public Bank Credit Cards.

Suppose that RM 598.00 have been spent on online transactions and dining, in a statement month, using Public Bank Quantum MasterCard credit card. To fully gain the RM 30.00 cashback, another RM 2.00 needs to be spent. I am concerned that if the swiping amount is too low, Public Bank may not grant the 5% cashback for that low swiping amount.


That is not an issue. I can get the statement dates, via calling CS, once my application is approved.

I recalled that in this thread, the cardholder of Public Bank Visa Signature Card need to perform the following steps, so that they can pay Visa Signature credit card bill on Public Bank internet banking website.

I wonder that these steps are still applicable to the new cardholder of Public Bank Quantum Credit Cards.

For Public Bank Quantum MasterCard and Visa Credit Cards:

1) Is the cashback for these cards given, based on transaction date or posting date?

2) Can I set the credit card PIN in PBB internet banking website, without using PBB ATM?

3) For each credit card, did anyone manage to spend slightly less than RM 600.00, and manage to get the full RM 30 of cashback? Such as RM 599.80?

There should be for PBB VS Credit Card.

RM 833.25 x 6% = RM 49.995 ~ RM 50

Going by the same logic for PBB Quantum Credit Card,

RM 599.90 x 5% = RM 29.995 ~ RM 30

So, has anyone verified that the minimum spending to get the maximum cashback of RM 30 for either Quantum MC or Visa is RM 599.90?
