Applied for my credit limit increase (with significantly increased salary) a few days ago.... And got rejected!!

Did one for MBB which was approved (10k increase).

Not sure if my PBB CL increase was rejected due to maximising my BTs. I got crazy high BTs with Aeon, MBB and PBB and was only applying for increases just so I could get even more BT. PBB is now my lowest CL (compared to MBB, CIMB, HSBC, HLB, SCB, Alliance, Aeon, Ambank and Citibank).

Will try my luck With Aeon tomorrow.

Wow just finished my 8 swipes. Booked family holiday on Air Asia and kiasu kiasu pay each ticket one by one. Super tiring lol.

what is the transaction date and posting date of shopee in your credit card statement?

because I did the transaction at shopee at monday midnight and I didn't get the week 3 cashback. my statement show the transaction date is 19 March 2017.
I did the same for week 2 and the transaction date is 12 March 2017 but I get week 2 cashback.

hahaha .. thank you for your advise , but the main purpose i apply these credit card is to pay installment purpose only for my home furniture like fridge ,  sofa , tv , laptop  and many more LOL ..

if i can pay by installment and pay the minimum amount of the total every month  ,  i can save a bit    but i will be like paying forever ..

It's funny how most shop are shunning pay wave especially hyper market. You'll have to request them to use it and even then, some will still decline your request.

Just wondering, for the VS card, once we maxed out the cash back will we get the points? Coz I notice that my recent transaction at Purple Cane MV is getting points, but my cash back already depleted. Or is it Purple Cane MV no longer eligible for CB?

Need help from sifus.. one of my dining was not entitled for 5% CB..

My self-calculated CB should be RM29.57 but i only managed to get RM26.40.. means RM3.17 CB or around RM63 spending is not entitled..  refer to the screenshot below



i suspect it was Wayne's Cafe (RM63.80) but the amount is almost same as Canton-i (RM63.25).. so i can't confirm which is not entitled..  :confused:

Bill payments for Digi and TNB - I've do this nearly every week and its always gotten cashback. In fact, in the same statement I have 6 other Shopee bill payments (in April). All of those qualified.

You mentioned these are marked as retail transactions, on the statement or unbilled transactions? I have a number of shoppee transactions (most recent being 3rd May) but there are not marked either, but entitled for both 6% cash back and also swipe more campaign. Wonder what caused the discrepancy

I just called CS and received the following response%

It was not eligible for cashback, because for some (unknown) reason, Shopee charged it manually even though OTP was generated. All my April transactions were charged as online. She checked each transaction and said couldn't see what's the difference, as all identical description.

She said maybe one off, and we won't be able to know as it is the merchant who processes the transaction. She said normally OTP transactions have much much higher chance of being online, but even that is not guaranteed.

Anyway, if any of you have May Shopee transactions, could you please call CS just to check if it is online or manual? I will do some Shopee transactions tomorrow and will also update, but just wanted to check if this is a one off problem or if there's been a change in processing.

Going to ask some of my supps whether they did any Shopee transactions in May. Will report back here.

I was just thinking to know the reason for rejection, since I read before someone who got rejected and got BNM to involve to know the reason. Itu saja.
Of course I know it is up to banks' discretion la.

Anyway, I'm done with PBB. End of Dec 2015 rejected, April 2017 still rejected. That's it, I will not try for the third time anymore. I will not even consider taking up their housing loan in the future. Like my friend in Maybank mortgage said, PBB is unique and has its own way of assessment. I guess she is right.

Gotta find way to maximise my cash back. Luckily I still have other cards.
