Applied for my credit limit increase (with significantly increased salary) a few days ago.... And got rejected!!

Did one for MBB which was approved (10k increase).

Not sure if my PBB CL increase was rejected due to maximising my BTs. I got crazy high BTs with Aeon, MBB and PBB and was only applying for increases just so I could get even more BT. PBB is now my lowest CL (compared to MBB, CIMB, HSBC, HLB, SCB, Alliance, Aeon, Ambank and Citibank).

Will try my luck With Aeon tomorrow.
*
My case, MBB was worse. I applied for CL increase last month, was having the same CL since like 6 years ago.
They granted me a CL increase which is less than 2X my monthly salary. *sulk*

I am new to PBB and i am getting a decent CL, better than MBB..

By the way since you are the BT specialist here, the current PBB 0% BT 6 months promo will end by June 2017. Does the promo gets extension usually? For many many years / cycles already?
Big BT ending in a Sep / Oct and I just hope PBB will have 0% BT offer by that time.

Wow just finished my 8 swipes. Booked family holiday on Air Asia and kiasu kiasu pay each ticket one by one. Super tiring lol.

I just done my 8 swipes. Feeling this week will be more challenging with new Quantum users on board.

Btw i remember you had a long detailed sharing on split vs multiple transactions.
This morning i went to do a retail payment. I observed that the cashier directly enter the amount i want to pay (rm150) into the credit card merchant device, and swipe my card for payment. No system to capture the 'transaction'. Means, they will record down that i paid rm150 using manual capturing method (their even issue me a hand written receipt)

Which makes me wonder, in this case, there should be no way of having 'multiple' transactions, since the credit card terminal is not connected to any 'system'. Since we believe that we cannot let a supermarket cashier to scan all items, and pay with more than 1 swipe (which we believe will be taken as multiple)

My only regret is i did not ask the cashier to swipe my card 3 times instead of 1.

Hi all,

Just wondering anyone has received their week 4 (27Mar-2Apr) cash back for 5/8 RM50 swipes?
*
It's been a trend that forumers will post cashbacks once it's in

hi bro, just want to know, do you still remember what time and date that you paid in shopee?
what is the transaction date and posting date of shopee in your credit card statement?

because I did the transaction at shopee at monday midnight and I didn't get the week 3 cashback. my statement show the transaction date is 19 March 2017.
I did the same for week 2 and the transaction date is 12 March 2017 but I get week 2 cashback.
very weird.
*
Hi bro. I did it on Monday, 20 Mar, around 1 pm +
My statement also shows transaction date 20 Mar
You can check the transaction history in the shopee app. Mine shows the current date time correctly.

hahaha .. thank you for your advise , but the main purpose i apply these credit card is to pay installment purpose only for my home furniture like fridge ,  sofa , tv , laptop  and many more LOL ..

if i can pay by installment and pay the minimum amount of the total every month  ,  i can save a bit  smile.gif  but i will be like paying forever ..
*
Totally agree to fruitie's advice.
If you do not clear off your monthly card balances, you do not 'save' anything, you lose a lot to interests payments.
In the end, it mess up your financial management, and possibly your life.

Yes.

It's funny how most shop are shunning pay wave especially hyper market. You'll have to request them to use it and even then, some will still decline your request.
*
For my case, the cashiers will take my card and use wave without even asking me.
Not sure if that is allowed.

Just finished my 8x swipes.. 4 tng using VS and 4 metrojaya retail transaction using quantum visa.
Feeling pressured as the queue was building up and waiting for me to complete 4 separate transactions + swipes with pin entry 😱

Note - yet to 100% verify if metrojaya is eligible for 5% cb, but worth a try.

Just wondering, for the VS card, once we maxed out the cash back will we get the points? Coz I notice that my recent transaction at Purple Cane MV is getting points, but my cash back already depleted. Or is it Purple Cane MV no longer eligible for CB?

Confirmed even when max out CB, no points will be given

Need help from sifus.. one of my dining was not entitled for 5% CB..

My self-calculated CB should be RM29.57 but i only managed to get RM26.40.. means RM3.17 CB or around RM63 spending is not entitled..  sweat.gif refer to the screenshot below

i suspect it was Wayne's Cafe (RM63.80) but the amount is almost same as Canton-i (RM63.25).. so i can't confirm which is not entitled..

For 100% answer, call CS and ask for merchant code of those suspected transactions

Bill payments for Digi and TNB - I've do this nearly every week and its always gotten cashback. In fact, in the same statement I have 6 other Shopee bill payments (in April). All of those qualified.
*
Hope you get clarify from the CS and proper cashbacks given back to you.
I also have shopee transactions but my statement date is next week.

QUOTE(tonytyk @ May 6 2017, 07:23 PM)
You mentioned these are marked as retail transactions, on the statement or unbilled transactions? I have a number of shoppee transactions (most recent being 3rd May) but there are not marked either, but entitled for both 6% cash back and also swipe more campaign. Wonder what caused the discrepancy
*
May i know how do you know your recent transactions on 3rd may, are eligible or not for cashbacks?

I just called CS and received the following response%

It was not eligible for cashback, because for some (unknown) reason, Shopee charged it manually even though OTP was generated. All my April transactions were charged as online. She checked each transaction and said couldn't see what's the difference, as all identical description.

She said maybe one off, and we won't be able to know as it is the merchant who processes the transaction. She said normally OTP transactions have much much higher chance of being online, but even that is not guaranteed.

Anyway, if any of you have May Shopee transactions, could you please call CS just to check if it is online or manual? I will do some Shopee transactions tomorrow and will also update, but just wanted to check if this is a one off problem or if there's been a change in processing.

Going to ask some of my supps whether they did any Shopee transactions in May. Will report back here.

I dont think merchant have control on shopee transaction mode. I would suspect shopee payment has some problem somehow, and the transactions were done at back office manually.

Ok bro noted ^.^

Btw to all, today did not feel like Monday.. yet to start spending on anything for the cashback promo

Edit:
I have a question hope you all can help.
My statement date is on the 18th.
I noticed i have 3 record with transaction date on 17 Apr, but posting date is 19 Apr, so these 3 records are not in my Apr statement.
Would these 3 transactions' cashbacks be given in Apr ending 18 Apr or will be carried forward to May?
Last month Apr i have spent > 1K therefore i would have maxed out the rm50 anyways. But need to adjust my spending this month

I was just thinking to know the reason for rejection, since I read before someone who got rejected and got BNM to involve to know the reason. Itu saja. laugh.gif
Of course I know it is up to banks' discretion la. sweat.gif

Anyway, I'm done with PBB. End of Dec 2015 rejected, April 2017 still rejected. That's it, I will not try for the third time anymore. I will not even consider taking up their housing loan in the future. sweat.gif Like my friend in Maybank mortgage said, PBB is unique and has its own way of assessment. I guess she is right. laugh.gif

Gotta find way to maximise my cash back. Luckily I still have other cards. laugh.gif

For now bye.gif this thread.

Sorry to see they rejected your appeal.
They could have keep certain things in their record.
Just wonder if you printed your ccris report yourself to check?
Anyways, never say never.. come back another time if they have good offers.
