200k deposit not worth it. I would rather seek higher return through investment
Seriously can't imagine how rich all forumers here, now only realise so hard to get VS
I want it so badly

200k can get their premier banking d?

I think most of the forummers who have VS are based on salary requirement and not FD.

Nah, my salary exceeded the threshold but PBB die die takmau kasi.
Holding other bank's Infinite so not really bothered about PBB anymore.
Even Housing Loan also they don't want to give to me

dont "waste" money pledging for a cc. you could have better use for the sum of money elsewhere or emergency-use.
there are other cards out there that is comparable to VS. may not be 6% cb, but a lot of them having 5% which is good. if possible, shift spending to Amex primarily (bill payment via m2u), then other cards like Quantum (online/dining/entertainment/departmental).
for quantum, do a "separate statement" for Supp card, you'll get additional (standalone) cb apart from the principal.
As long as they have the cash and no real use for it, if they think they can get their salary up to the 100k threshold within 1~2 years, it's still acceptable to put in the FD in my opinion. Once they hit 100k already, just submit the payslip and "release" the FD lor. That's what I did for my Maybank case.
Yes, placing the money in ASB / UT / insert investment could get higher return. But people don't usually document the hardship of trying to get units for ASB / monitoring for UT / etc.
