dont "waste" money pledging for a cc. you could have better use for the sum of money elsewhere or emergency-use.

there are other cards out there that is comparable to VS. may not be 6% cb, but a lot of them having 5% which is good. if possible, shift spending to Amex primarily (bill payment via m2u), then other cards like Quantum (online/dining/entertainment/departmental).

for quantum, do a "separate statement" for Supp card, you'll get additional (standalone) cb apart from the principal.
