Is your noisy fan a Panasonic? If you wanna try repair yourself, you can get the circuit board from another fan (that's not making annoying sound) to see if solves the noise problem. The motherboard cost about RM50+ (iinm) from Panasonic service centre. If you google it, there's an even cheaper option but it was too complicated for me so I just changed the whole board.

I put oil before, still noisy. That's why I suggested taking from your existing fan to try. Don't straight away buy the circuit board. Coz dunno what is the actual problem.

Don't know where are the ball bearings and don't know how to dismantle the fan.

No idea, but I've changed the circuit board for 2 fans and they were not noisy anymore. Mine was just obvious clicking sound, not ear piercing. I don't know what oil's suitable. I used WD40 and it didn't work.
