itu baru sikit pasal grade.
how about using diesel engine oil into petrol engine oil?
Heavy Duty Engine Oil.  brows.gif

check the rating, not only the name. "S" for spark plug a.k.a. gasoline engines, while "C" for compressed a.k.a. diese engines

if manual say minimum SL, then SM, SN also can. if HDEO saw API CJ/SL, then can use on car with minimum SL requirements. can also check ACEA and all but thats a bit too deep into discussion

i use HDEO on my bike as it has Allison C-4 for wet clutch and also meets S requirement and CI, which is suggested for use in high rpm like motorbike. i buy 7 pack for RM90, do oil change myself, so get around RM14 per change. change every 2 months, tahan for 1 year. also hdeo have more detergents, cleaner insides

okay thats all. haha

Finally found someone who talk about API grade and ACEA, which is very important

API newest Grade = FA with HTHS Technology

Newer generation Engine trend now = Low Viscosity, eg. 0W20, Save Fuel, for Both Pertol & Diesel.

Better to use Lower Viscosity Oil and Fully Synthetic Base, Oil Pumped faster to your Engine

Inb4 Engine oil Discussion at Lazada thread biggrin.gif
*
i use insight, smooth as silk when using 0w20 oil. fuel consumption also lower than using 0w30, but by small margin. like 24km/L vs 21km/L. to me FC mainly on where and how we drive

oh btw got someone ask why the tesco liqui moly is orange colour. tesco, aeon and all these oversea hypermarket, they will bring engine oils from their region and sell them here. so that is actually the EU's version. thus why you see it 5L, EU market demands for 5L packs rather than for us, 4L already enough

btw just noticed the Liqui Moly sold by Tesco is without MOS2, thats the addictive?
might explain cheaper abit?
*
seems so. Liqui Moly is a very big company based in EU. they have like 15-16 types for 10w-40 alone. but for the "leichtlauf performance" its only found in drums on their website

i bet it is inferior to the one with MOS2. btw i've used the one with MOS2, feels really nice and dont be alarmed when you see the oil. its smokey colour with black spots. its not fake, its the MOS2

on question about expiry, some say 2-4 years while some say dont have. to me i hold to 3 years as a precaution. i only stock up for 1-2 year usage. if u browse around motor oils in lazada, there is a seller selling 1L shell helix fully syn 5w-40 i think for RM30 per bottle. the reviews ppl say its old stock and some even say can see the seller try to padam the manufactured date. just a heads up because i almost bought it. i mean if 4L is RM120 (not yet ezback voucher), thats cheap .. almost too cheap biggrin.gif

Is it like tires, newer the better?
Still going to SC after warranty end.Anyway,is there any schedule as a guidance like when should we service our car if gonna do it outside?
*
newer should almost always = better. but buying newer almost always = more expensive

to me you can buy 1 year from manufactured date but make its sealed and kept away from sunlight. never seen any shop put under sunlight though. lol

about the servicing. its totally up to your car's condition. its really hard to answer. maybe sort of like asking when to wash your car, simple answer would be when its dirty. but how dirty? dried mud all over area dirty or when got bird poo on it?

cars will have wear and tears, thats a fact. some items are almost directly proportional to miles covered, like the timing belts, tyres, brake pads, air filter, cabin filter, engine oil + oil filter, auto/cvt fluids, these all for sure need replace. best way is to get it checked while doing some other stuff. like while changing oil, ask them to inspect brake pads, if need change then change. for tyres can check tread indicator and km'a covered. other than that, try and see the service booklet, after how many km and what they replace. example: air filter ganti every 30,000km tyres every 75,000km or 5 years whichever comes first

but this is all very rough guidelines only. it all depends on your car. after 150,000km or 200,000km most manufacturer suggest for overhaul to make sure there's no gasket or oil seal leaks

oh another important note. do check how you use your car. if stuck in traffic 1 hour a day, you are very much suggested to check again your odometer. 5,000km clocked on a car with severe traffic jams everyday might just be the same as a car that clocked 7,000km on a cruising highway everyday

Copied the reply elsewhere for future reference. This is the 1st time i heard odometer need to check,is it need to replace the odometer maybe? Thanks bro.
*
eh sorry i dont mean check the odometer if its faulty. what i meant to say was check the reading and put into consideration that the interval to next service might be shorter than expected as the car goes through harsher conditions in lesser amount of km's

sorry again. its sort of loss in translation i guess, my head was thinking of "look at the odometer reading and reevaluate the km's covered and what the car goes through" but i wrote "check the odometer" lol

Nice explanation...how about cars with very low mileage? Like 15k in 3 years. If following the standard schedule, i never have to do major service or change parts.
*
this one a bit tricky. manufacturers usually provide with guideline with 2 parameters - km's covered & duration used. example tyres - in msia we use same tyres all year round made for hot weather & wet traction during rain. so they will give lets say .. 75,000km OR 5 years. whichever comes first

the same goes to other parts of the car. fully synthetic engine oil usually lasts for 10,000km OR 6 months (some say 9-12 months, depend you park under shade or sun)

i assume what u mean by major servicing is overhaul, then it should be after km's covered. but best is to check with car's SC. they usually dont mind us asking when to do what. my bet is, they'll say service should only be done after covered 5,000km or 6 months. major servicing after 100,000km or after 4 years

but be informed that cars were built to run. meaning if they sit at home for 2-3 weeks without running, there are steps you should take to make sure the electronics will not spoil

so u got your milo and your refund as well? niceee.......
i know, seller have no right to demand payment from us, when the fault is obviously on lazada's side
but i jenis cepat kecian punya orang, feel obligated to re-pay lah, especially towards small time seller, cari makan type...if big conglomerate i don't really care, can only cukurrrrr item got, refund oso got  sweat.gif
*
i get what u mean. i once got store credit from lazada for an item they already sent and im using everyday. feel guilty

i called cs, they say technically if i want to keep the item i have to cancel the store credit. and i did. it gave me peace of mind. sort of making sure God wont get back at me with something bad. but legally speaking, its lazada's fault. they have staff and IT specialist who are being paid to make sure stuffs like this dont happen. i dont lazada will hunt you down and ask for payment, all my ordering errors end up with full refund. some of them i got the item, while some of them i didnt. items that i got but damaged also they gave back my money and say i can keep the item

p/s: item that was damaged was only rm60

So,is that means after status changed to packing/shipping we can only 'cancel'the item by reject the delivery or return the item after receiving it?
*
actually rejecting delivery is very harsh. especially in instances where item dont have "satisfaction guaranteed" edit: but if got satisfaction label, by all means you can even keep the item at your home for 13 days, then return it back on 14th

seller like to do this. give tracking so fast but shipment still same2 only. they just want to seal the deal

Seller in other sites also practice this. They giving out shipping number before the items being collect for deliver.
Why is it very harsh by rejecting delivery? sweat.gif
*
its mainly just my personal opinion really. to me as a seller, they already did their part to give price, send parcel, we should be courteous and accept the deal eventhough it might not be the best we could get - example, price drop after order. i just accept that it happens, sometimes i dont get the best deals but i think the price i paid already nice to begin with

well at least thats what i do. if i dont like an item, i'll try and look for reason to return like damaged or not as advertised. once i didnt like a solar lamp due to its size. then i realise the wattage was not as advertised. i returned the item and got refund. main reason was i changed my mind but the false advertising became a more legit reason for that situation - no satisfaction guaranteed

p/s: this only applies to those without satifaction guaranteed ya

No
Ordered on sunday might, got the sms/email said item has been ship on tuesday night. Since then I check the tracking no. given it keep saying invalid, just now I check again and it finally shows in transit, but I see that they only pick it up this evening! the delivery time stated latest I should get is yesterday.
*
1) take picture of your current estimated shipment date
2) take picture of tracking page
3) send email with those two images attached
4) call after 2-3 hours if email is not replied

i did that when my item were lost in i dont know where. it was sent using LEX, "tracking number incorrect" according to webite. turns out system not updated

item was in "parcel being sorted" for 4 days. i called 2-3 times, they sent using poslaju and gave rm30 sorry voucher

edit: replied to wrong person

Hexane Have you tried the chia seed that you bought? Good quality?
*
oh yes i forgot to update about that. to me its good quality. i've only tasted few brands so cant really tell the difference

but it tastes like chia and its clean, no pebbles and i think its legit organic chia. i think its cheap because its repacked in 1kg bags by the local company. maybe they bought in big containers

edit: add picture of me drinking it now. its clumped up because i didnt stir it after adding the chia seeds

glad i could help smile.gif i just started taking chia this year. those sold in shops are too expensive, like rm20 per 300g

so for those who want to try but dont want to burn a hole in your pocket. the RM30 pack is good
