Erm...anyone still using a socket 370 rig? tongue.gif

I'm wondering if its worth while to setup a socket 370 rig for just downloading torrents...

Anyone here with a dual socket 370 rig?

Yeah, my lil' bro computer is in socket 370, still can play o2jam, VOS, maplestory what.. torrent sure got no problem..

yes i still have socket 370 which running celeron 733mhz laugh.gif
currently letting my little brother n my mum use it for typing, n sometime watching movies. laugh.gif

My hometown pc also using P3S370. But it's wise to upgrade ur hardrive if ur hardrive is older generation such as mine @5400RPM onli n dat sux while everytime u boot up ur pc rclxub.gif

I have a P3 800Mhz/320MB ram/MX4000 128MB graphic card and is used to run office apps and surf net.

my frenz owned a p3 800mhz, 384mb ram, 40gb hdd and a fx5200 thumbup.gif

he can use this rig to play gta vc but will lag during big movement rclxms.gif

i dont see any reason why this is impossible...
as long as you get pentium3 with 1.0GHz above, should be no problem icon_rolleyes.gif

IIRC, someone did try install xp with pentium1 33mhz, its has been discussed here last year

I see there are still alot of STEALTHY socket 370 rigs out there... thumbup.gif

I guess the main problem with a 370 rig is the amount of ram the mobo is able to support...its hard to find a mobo that can do more than 1 gig of ram...most SDRAM slots only support 256mb and max is 4 slots...pitty...

Currently there 1 s370 running Dual CPU with 1GB RAM.

which dual proc mobo are you using? and also which os are you using? smp enabled os i presume...
