I just ported to webe yesterday from Celcom. No issues with Celcom just wnat to try how webe works.

So far (almost 24 hours) here are my observation from usage:

1. Youtube buffers a lot if at my home (which did not happen with Celcom)
2. Loading on LTE is slower compared to Celcom
3. Coverage wise its comparable to Celcom (can still receive calls & whatsapp in basement parking)
4. 3g on webe seems slower compared to Celcom

Otherwise it’s working fine. Only that personal hotspot is not working for me even though the free 10gb LTE wifi is available. Anyone on iPhone can share your tips?

1. They capped by youtube for 2mbps only

For hotspot, does it even show up in the settings? Might need to change apn

But is it possible to change APN in iPhone? I don't see any option to do so. It’s totally unselectable.

just go mobile data -> mobile data option -> mobile data network. Then scroll down to personal hotspot and type webe at apn.

Savior! Thanks for the tips, it’s working now.

When I tried switching betwen LTE & 3G, I got this prompt. Never had this before with UMobile or Celcom. Anyone else noticed this?

If you're not using the latest IOS, you will get that message. But, it is okay. Just tap on the enable LTE and you should be able to receive webe LTE signal. This problem happens because during that day when they release this firmware, webe is still sleeping in their mother womb. So your current firmware does not know who is this 502153 telco. So the iPhone will rather stick to the one that the firmware knows which is Celcom 3G instead of 502153. Hope this answers all of your doubts.

Ahah. I’m currently on beta, so that answers that. I have to downgrade to stable version in order to reap the true benefit of webe line then. Thanks!

same here. switched from celcom.
1. youtube smooth over here at Seremban.
2. loading 4G is slower but still manageable. gets thing done.
3. coverage wise is very good. similar to celcom.
4. 3g speed is still same with celcom.

If only celcom provides the same kind of plan. i'll switch back to celcom.  rclxms.gif

Good for you. For me, the usage is similar to using Umobile. Where with LTE, surfing crawls even Twitter takes time to load which I don’t think is a good sign. But again, I understand, they are still new and need time to improve service.

The plan is the ULTIMATE compared to other offerings out there. Haha.

Not too sure about the unlimited calls, data...
So one would pay for the monthly commitment, and they can get all this, paid for?
No additional charges and no throttling of data?
*
Speed throttling is applicable for certain apps IINM. The true benefit of the unlimited package will be reaped once the infra is all up to support the traffic.

As for me, ported out back to Celcom. 😅

Honest speaking here, the speed that webe LTE can deliver to us might not be as good as the three big telcos but what surprises me is that their ping is really low. If you check the statistics that NPerf (a speed test app) has collected, you will see that webe has a very high score, higher than Celcom and Digi but slightly lower than Maxis.
*
Good for gaming like said by another forumer then. Beside that, what does a lower ping helps with? I’m not familiar on the ping matter (even from Counterstrike era)

10.3.2 also got popup
so no need to downgrade  laugh.gif

Darn. Quite irritating that it keeps popping up with the message. Hopefully they improve and make the line stable.

u switched back to celcom?
i hope celcom gives out similar promotion with webe one day... sure all switch to celcom.
*
Yup. The low rate and unlimited data is unaccepatable when the service is below the line. I can’t receive iMessage now which is the last straw for me. Even the no tethering policy os okay for me as I can manage my daily activities through phone.

It is up to Apple to optimize their software and antenna to Webe.
*Well, it also doesn't hurt if Webe insist Apple to do it quick"
*
I thought it’s up to webe to quickly catch up? As it didn’t happen with other telcos so far.

It's always up to Apple. Apple have to enable and optimize their iPhone for Maxis, Celcom etc.

Perhaps it's in the works. Should be good in coming years.

Just switched from Celcom to WEbe rm79 plan. The LTE is very unreliable and slow @ Puchong area. Range from 1.xx ~ 4.xx Mbps download speed. Any users in Puchong area experiencing the same slow LTE?
*
I used webe for 4 days only before porting back to Celcom. Better stay with reliable line than this.
