Fighting with my friend over this, stupid fella.

Restrictions to mobile, use this device for example to beat the small screen restrictions.
Cast Streaming video to TVs.
They cannot to block it
*
But this one would mirror the phone screen. Phone would continue to run, therefore deplete the battery. With chromecast, the phone is just a remote control. Chromecast runs the video on its own. But yeah, u can use Samsung all share with webe, but chromecast not possible with webe.

What you mean by chromecast not possible to use with webe?

Do you mean using WebeB on mifi and chromecast connect to it?
*
Not possible with WebeM, possible with WebeB

I had difficulty receiving TAC from Maybank and CIMB, and checked with the live chat. Was informed that it takes 48 hours for the system to update the bank telco details for new users.
*
That's a common problem when porting from one telco to another. Not just for Webe. Wait for two, three days. It should be sorted out by itself. You don't have to do anything.

will try adguard later in my another non-root hp & see its blocking efficiently
*
Adguard is decent, but a little bit of a battery hogger, I'm afraid. Adaway on the other is superb, no impact on battery at all. So go ahead, and root your phone bro. smile.gif

Just went to TM point for name transfer and saw the leaflet for webeB 60GB for RM 99 promo

Too bad, it must be under their own 4g coverage for webeB.
It will be a good alternative to Digi B and umobile B
*
Wow. 60GB for RM99 is quite a steal. I don't see anything like that on the website, I suppose it's a promotion that's only available at TM Point, too bad.

Has Webe activated its LTE on band 40? Or everywhere is still purely on band 5?

Got question to all mahaguru and sifu.

I have a USB modem Huawei E398 and also ZTE MF90 mifi. Can these support WEBE 4G at LTE speed?
Webe only at 850MHz? Can work for these? Thank you.

ZTE MF90 Spec:
* LTE-FDD 800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz

* LTE-TDD 2300(2600)MHz

* UMTS 850/900/1900/2100MHz

* EGPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz

* LTE-FDD: DL/UL 100/50Mbps (Category3)

* LTE-TDD:DL/UL 68/17Mbps (Category3)

* DC-HSPA+: DL/UL 42/5.76Mbps
Huawei E398 USB Modem Specs:
http://www.3g-modem-wiki.com/page/Huawei+E398
*
ZTE MF90 supports band 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 38 and 40.
Huawei E398 only supports band 1, 3, 7, 8 and 20, depending on your exact model.

800mhz refers to band 20. 850mhz refers to band 5.

Webe operates LTE on band 5 and 40. Most of its current LTE network runs on band 5. However it is upgrading more sites especially in Klang Valley, JB, Penang with band 40 LTE.

As such, in your case, only ZTE MF90 can be used for Webe LTE. However, that is given that you have a band 40 LTE in your area, which I think is highly unlikely.

So, perhaps just buy a new router that supports band 5?

But nothing happen...
Digi 150 too expensive for me...

Webe's logic:
- whether you right or wrong, need surat sumpah to reactivate account...
*
Just go for digi ambassador RM70. 50GB quota, 50GB YouTube. smile.gif

Anyone manage to use Tplink TL-MR6400 with webe broadband?
Can it be used ?

That router only supports B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B38/B39/B40/B41

So no support band 5. Unless your area has Webe band 40. You're out of luck I'm afraid. Go for Huawei E5172s-515. That's one of the cheapest routers that support band 5.

Heard that using webe to play king of glory (Chinese Version) is very smooth.
I had signed up for WebeB, waiting for my mifi to arrive. The problem is after i ordered  the mifi, i found that it only support 38/40 band but not 5, not sure if my area (Skudai,Johor) supported 38/40B. Anyone?

Thanks
*
Well you can check the coverage with your phones, as most phones support band 5 and 40 as well.

Already msg the seller, let's c how it goes...  bangwall.gif
But i chat with Webe support, they said as long as the device supports 38/40 it will be fine. Not sure if it is true  sweat.gif

Orimila
webebroadband operates on LTE Band 5/38/40.

LEE
so as long as the device support any of these band, it should be no problem right?

11:01:26 p.m.
Orimila
The band is the device specification whether it support these bands or not.

11:01:34 p.m.
Yes, correct.

11:01:40 p.m.
LEE
ok thank you

I won't really trust these webe staffs, for all we know they might just work there for a few weeks or so. From the press conference that we saw, Webe mentioned that they play to deploy more band 40 LTE sites this year, but nobody knows for sure how's the progress of that. And about band 38, has it been officially announced anywhere by Webe? I don't think so. As such, it remains the fact the dominant LTE network for Webe at this point in time is band 5, unless we are proven otherwise. icon_rolleyes.gif

I only know YES 4G operates on band 38 and 40. I don't think any other carrier has bandwidth on 38. But correct me if I'm wrong.

Choice of phones Webe provide is too little sad.gif
*
Hahaha, U don't have to use the exact phone as provided in the list. So long as the phones support band 5 and 40 LTE, of which I think are true for most phones released in the past two or three years.

If in doubt, just do a quick Google on its spec. Support LTE band 5 and 40. That's it, completely usable with webe.

I thought redmi2 support band 40 but no 4G detected. Just able to connect 3G only. Anyone pls help. Tq

Redmi2 only supports LTE B3/B7/B8/B38/B40. Most webe LTE networks are on B5, which is not supported by your phone. So, it looks like your area only have B5 and no B40.

Does this mean my phone will never able to get WiFi tethering with Webe?

Most Webe LTE networks still run on band 5. They're adding more band 40 sites though. You're lucky if your area has band 40.
