I going to get my new car soon and I was puzzled with a problem here. A accessories shop claimed that, 6'5 component set can't fit into iswara lmst. So now i thinking to put in the component set at the back mean the rear board. So the setup up will be like this,

- A pair of tweeter infront;
- 6'5 component set at behind;
- A pair of 12 inch woofer at behind.

If i set it like this, the sound in front will be better or can feel the bass sound? Their advise me to put 5' component set infront but I don't wanna get 5' component since i think the sound will be can't fight as 6'5 inch. So i need some advise here urgent.

hehe... never tried your plans but i think it will be like listening to the treble all along and your mid-range,bass and low bass sound coming from behind...

i dun see why iswara front door couldnt take in a 6" driver... it jus need some works to fit it in... some money also la...

if you dun wan to cut your door then take the 5" lo... at least your sound will be better...

cheers...

i've seen friend fitting a 6.5" into LMST front door, but then need some fibre work and cuttings

if u dont want the speaker to show outside, look for something with a shallow bucket and smaller magnet, and find a spot to hide it
if u put your 6.5" at the back, i doubt it will sound good unsure.gif

5" ok what tongue.gif

If you install your component set at the rear, you lost the feel of front image staging...

Just mod the front door bigger hole to support 6.5".

Besides currently my kancil is fitted with 16cm (6.5") speaker on the front door. I get the front image stage feel because i use my 6x9 at the rear convert to low band only. But the problem is i need an amp to power up cause the WATT rating is too high that my pioneer can't handle it well doh.gif

5' and 6'5 component set i sure 6'5 component sound is better. But the component i wan, it just different RM10 nia. And 5' magnet really very small compare with 6'5. I scare the sound provide by 5' not very good enough.

Have anyone using 5' component here? Sound ok?

I think you should spend more on the front speakers as that is the speakers you will be listening to the most !

it's not about the size 5.25 or 6.5
it's about the driver itself

what he meant was, it doesn't, matter of the size, quality is more important. Getting a good brand is better than a big driver..
