I recently relocated my xbox360 and it sits next to my JBL speakers now along with the woofer. Is this a good idea? Will magnets from the speakers cause long term damage to my 360? or is it safe?

Beside your sub woofer I guess it might still be ok, but ONTOP of your woofer, guys, you really not scared the subtle vibrations gonna vibrate the hard disk read head into the disk platter is it?

Don't forget the Xbox comes with a HDD. It's never a good idea to put a huge magnet beside your HDD. smile.gif

yeah, exactly what they said, an HDD is a magnetic storage device, data is stored via magnetization of a rotating magnetically coated surface, if you're not careful, the magnetic flux that surrounds a subwoofer, when in operation, could cause some data corruption in the long run, i wouldn't really advise it...

plus everyone's heard of how delicate the 360's dvd lens is, so next time you crank up the volume and fire off a boom shot in gears of war, the bass from that might be enough to boom shot your dvd drive as well...

fo me, no prob.. as a speaker is rite next to my console... but the subwoofer on the other hand is on the floor.. i usually play games at high volume... i dnt want any extra unnecessary vibration goin on in my console... maybe if i put the subwoofer next to my 360, they'll be havng a partay of their own & red disco lights flashing on my 360... haha.. cool.gif
