Hi all,

I am currently using Nikon D300, which my only dissatisfaction comes when I am trying to push it to higher ISO especially in low light condition.

I am thinking of getting myself a second hand D7100 as it nicely fits my budget (<RM2k) at the moment. In the other hand I also tempted to get a D700 but I am not very sure whether it is a good choice in a long run.

Would love to hear from D7100 users: whether it is on par with D300 (in terms of AF and ergonomics)

My current lens: Nikon 35mm 1.8D, Tokina 11-16 2.8.

tl;dr: D7100 worth it? Or am I going to miss my D300 later?

No regret for D7100 body.
BTW D300 is better handering, but in term of IQ D7k and above win more more than D300.

I think D7100 is the perfect replacement considering your budget smile.gif You can expect a large difference in ISO

D700 is a good idea too if you're okay with the size. But I think it will be challenging to get one under RM 2000.

Thanks for the comments guys. D700 is also tempting but then I'll have to invest into FF lenses, which is going to cost me more money sad.gif

Nikon's FF lenses are quite expensive so by choosing D700, you need to prepare around rm5-6k for both body and lens (getting another UWA).
