I come across with some of the wallpapers unreleased by Microsoft for Vista.
There are a few choices of resolutions to choose from, more on this site ==> http://www.joejoe.org/forum/lofiversion/in...php?t5317.html I uploaded a sample wallpaper pack for a resolution of 1024X768. Enjoy! Download here (1024X768) ==> http://www.savefile.com/files/550590 This post has been edited by Onyx_black: Mar 13 2007, 08:11 PM |

QUOTE(Greasy Sweet @ Mar 15 2007, 08:34 PM) I have never used VTP, but I'm assuming the sidebar provided in VTP is Windows Sidebar. In that case: to re-open sidebar, look for the directory in program files it should be named "Windows sidebar". the sidebar.exe file is in there. The sidebar in VTP 6.0 is not Windows Sidebar (if you're talking about the real one from Vista.) rather it has Thoosje's Vista sidebar. (didn't really like it by the way.) |

Anyone tried using MiLork's Vista Theme 1.1? For what I've heard, this skin is the closest resemblance to Windows Vista.
Here's my desktop, after applying MiLork's Vista Theme. More info here => http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/357692...me+-in%3Ascraps This post has been edited by Onyx_black: Mar 22 2007, 10:42 PM |

For those of you that can't afford TopDesk but still craving for Flip-3D like effects on your XP machine, here's a program that's FREE, consumes little resources and handles the job pretty well: Madotate 2.02. It supposed to be a Japanese program but a proper English translation is included inside the zip file.
Hope you guys enjoy it. Screenshot, *Credits to TechII from DevianArt for the screenshot. Get it here!

QUOTE(sniper69 @ Mar 22 2007, 08:22 PM) Which part that you didn't understand? Honestly I don't understand Russian too, but common sense will bring you there. There are 7 icons, right? The first one will install the theme once you click on it. The second icon which is on the right of the first icon will install Styler Toolbar. While the third icon (below the first one) will give you the flexibility to choose the color of a windows' border, the user account picture (which is a bonus for those of you who use Front Motion Login, because the picture doesn't "black-out"), the background for the common task area and whether you prefer the title to be shown on the top border of a particular window etc. This post has been edited by Onyx_black: Mar 22 2007, 09:30 PM |

QUOTE(sniper69 @ Mar 22 2007, 09:44 PM) i get it already actually, Not sure about the first one. btw, yes, before using this, my user picture is black (because i'm on FrontMotion Login Screen), but now fixed The second however removes log off/ shut down text which help increase the realism of having a "Vista". |

QUOTE(sniper69 @ Mar 23 2007, 04:18 PM) actually i did, i changed to 32x32 icon size, but i think the icon hidden behind the white pane right Sorry for the late reply. thanks Greasy... OK, here's the bad news: you can't use large icons. To fix it, right-click on your desktop and select "Properties", select the "Appearance" tab, click on "Effects" and uncheck "Use large icons". Hope this solution will fix the problem. |

QUOTE(Hybrified @ Apr 3 2007, 09:00 PM) Im having problem with the Aero sidebar .... It's because every time you close it and run it again the program will automatically created a temporary folder. In other words it will keep extracting a "new" (but same) executable file every time you reboot your computer. With that, it causes your firewall to ask your permission for your sidebar to access the Internet because the firewall doesn't recognize the "existing" .exe file.it seem that my zone alarm keep asking me permission for this sidebar each time i launch it . i already click remember this setting, but it still keep asking me again n again To solve this problem, (I'm trying to recall what I did last time, since I no longer using Thooje's or any other kind of sidebar the information here might not be 100% accurate, hope it works for you.) you go to "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp", make sure you enable hidden files and folders option first. Locate the .exe file of your Aero sidebar in one of the many folders inside your temp directory. When you got the file, create a shortcut either in that temp directory itself or on your desktop. Cut the shortcut and place it in your Startup folder which is under "Start => All Programs => Startup". Tell me if this method works. This post has been edited by Onyx_black: Apr 3 2007, 09:43 PM |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Aug 6 2007, 07:00 PM) Quite stable after giving it a go, but it still lacks the smooth transition of windows, in other words all active/minimize windows will flip suddenly (after pressing Win+Tab). But having said that, it's not bad considering it's a free program by the Koreans.Added on August 6, 2007, 7:44 pm QUOTE(slash @ Aug 5 2007, 09:01 PM) Download the 1920X1440 version and resize them using Photoshop. (I've try resizing one of them already.)This post has been edited by Onyx_black: Aug 6 2007, 07:44 PM |
