Bigger question here is Uber/Grab paying their side of taxes. IIRC, they don't collect/deduct GST on their final bill.

And based on the above article, LHDN is suddenly realizing that they are not collecting as much as previous years, but they are oblivious to the fact that more and more people are being laid off and are jobless. So they are trying to figure out what are people doing for income and this would have been one of the highlights.

I'm not sure if that is even possible as they are subject to personal income tax, not business income tax which has such reliefs.
